European Friendly Table Tennis Tournament 2026 unites Vietnamese community across the continent

WVR - In just a few days, the European Friendly Table Tennis Tournament 2026 will officially commence at the BVSC Sports Center (1142 Budapest, Teleki Blanka u.6), Hungary.

Taking place over two days, May 2–3, this year's tournament marks its 12th edition and the third time Hungary has had the honor of hosting it. Over more than a decade of establishment and development, the tournament has become one of the standout community sports events for Vietnamese people in Europe.

This year, the tournament records its largest scale ever with nearly 180 athletes from 11 countries and 5 territories. Many athletes have embarked on long journeys with multiple legs, overcoming numerous challenges, just to gather, compete, and meet familiar friends.

The competition includes team, doubles, and singles events, spanning various age groups and skill levels, from amateur to professional. Notably, the tournament continues to be marked by the participation of multiple generations of athletes, from young first-time competitors to seasoned veterans who persistently pursue their passion.

The tournament atmosphere is expected to be vibrant not only on the court but also in the stands, with the enthusiastic support of fans and athletes' families. This is the unique appeal of the tournament, where sports become a bridge connecting the community, spreading the spirit of solidarity, and preserving Vietnamese cultural identity in the heart of Europe.
