On behalf of the Party and State leaders, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man extended the warmest greetings and best wishes to the Ambassador, embassy staff, and the Vietnamese community in Turkey. He also conveyed the regards of General Secretary, President To Lam, and other high-ranking leaders of Vietnam to all compatriots.
Updating on the national situation, the Chairman noted that despite numerous challenges in 2025, the country has achieved significant results in various fields. Macroeconomic stability, social welfare assurance, and national defense and security have been maintained. Vietnam's international standing and reputation have been increasingly enhanced, laying a solid foundation for the new development phase. These substantial achievements are attributed to the leadership of the Party, the involvement of the entire political system, and the unity of compatriots both domestically and abroad, including the Vietnamese community in Turkey.
The Chairman also informed the Vietnamese community in Turkey about important national milestones such as the successful organization of the 14th National Congress of the Party, the election of the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, and the revolution in streamlining the political system's organizational structure.

The Chairman emphasized that with the achievements of 40 years of Doi Moi, the country is striving with confidence and resilience to enter a new development phase, aiming to become a developing country with modern industry and upper-middle-income status by 2030, and a developed, high-income country by 2045.
Sharing the difficulties faced by the Vietnamese community in Turkey and the Vietnamese Embassy in the host country, the Chairman noted that the National Assembly and Government have amended many policies related to ensuring the regime for embassy staff. Currently, the National Assembly is considering amending and supplementing the Law on Representative Offices of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Abroad to enhance operational efficiency, particularly in citizen protection, community support, and inter-agency coordination.
Notably, the National Assembly has passed important laws, especially in civil status, land, housing, and real estate business, to facilitate investment and business by the overseas Vietnamese community in Vietnam.
The Chairman expressed his hope that the Vietnamese community in Turkey will always unite, support each other, build a strong community, integrate well, comply with local laws, and maintain the positive image of Vietnamese people. He encouraged them to continue preserving and promoting national cultural identity, maintaining the Vietnamese language, and family traditions so that the younger generation, even if born and raised abroad, will always look towards their roots.

Earlier, in a report to the Chairman, Vietnamese Ambassador to Turkey Dang Thi Thu Ha stated that the Vietnamese community in Turkey consists of about 200 people. Despite being far from home, they closely follow news from their homeland and are delighted with the country's progress and strong integration into the world.
Currently, there is no Vietnamese Association in Turkey, but the Embassy and the community have established a Community Liaison Committee and are actively taking steps towards forming a Vietnamese Association in Turkey, providing a common home for mutual support.
