Vietnamese culture captivates international friends at Summer Festival in Germany
WVR - Vietnam participated as an honoured guest at the Augsburg Multicultural Summer Festival 2026, contributing to the promotion of the image of Vietnam and its people, while affirming the role of cultural diplomacy in fostering international integration.

The festival was vibrant with the participation of over 20 booths from various countries, celebrating cultural diversity and enhancing exchanges among communities residing in Augsburg.
The Vietnamese booth attracted a large number of visitors with traditional dishes such as nem cuon, cha gio, bun cha, along with images of ao dai, non la, and cultural performances praising the beauty of Vietnam and its people. These activities helped spread traditional cultural values, enhancing understanding and connection between the Vietnamese community and German and international friends.
The program was organized by Tạp chí Huong Viet in collaboration with the Vietnam–Germany Association in Schwaben and the Vietnamese Association in Freising.
Visiting the Vietnamese booth were Ms. Claudia Roth, Member of the German Federal Parliament, and Mr. Martin Schenkelberg, Head of the Integration and Social Affairs Department of Augsburg. Both guests highly appreciated Vietnam's presence at the festival, acknowledging its positive contributions to cultural promotion, fostering people-to-people exchanges, and strengthening the friendship between Vietnam, Germany, and the international community. They also enjoyed traditional Vietnamese dishes and expressed admiration for the unique cultural beauty of the Vietnamese people.

Mr. Pham Khanh Nam, Editor-in-Chief of Tạp chí Huong Viet, stated that the festival is an opportunity to promote the image of Vietnam and its people, strengthen cultural connections with German and international friends, and showcase Vietnam's achievements in sustainable development, international economic integration, and cooperation with the European Union (EU).
According to Mr. Pham Khanh Nam, this is an opportunity for Vietnam to continue promoting the image of a dynamic country rich in cultural identity and proactive in international integration; while strengthening connections with European partners, promoting cooperation in cultural, trade, investment, and sustainable development fields.
Such exchange activities also contribute to enhancing mutual understanding, creating a favorable foundation for Vietnam to effectively exploit opportunities from the Vietnam–EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), thereby continuing to promote substantive and sustainable economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and the European Union.

The Augsburg Multicultural Summer Festival 2026 continues to affirm the role of cultural diplomacy and people-to-people exchanges in building bridges between nations, enhancing mutual understanding and trust, and creating a favorable social foundation for cooperation between countries.
Vietnam's prominent presence at the event not only contributes to spreading national cultural values but also showcases an image of a peaceful, developing Vietnam that is proactive in integration and actively contributing to international cooperation activities.
