The program was honoured to welcome representatives from the Vietnamese Consulate General in Osaka, including Ms. Nguyen Minh Anh, Chief of Office; Ms. Le Thuong, President of the Kansai Vietnamese Association; Venerable Thich Duc Tri, President of the Japan-Vietnam Support Association, along with numerous parents, teachers, and students from Vietnamese language schools in the region.
In the bustling atmosphere of the Lunar New Year, the Spring Fair is not just a community activity but also opens up a vibrant experiential education model where Vietnamese is naturally used in daily life.
Through activities such as buying and selling, communication, reading, singing, and group activities, students get to "live in Vietnamese", thereby nurturing a love for their homeland and an awareness of preserving national identity while living and studying abroad.

Speaking at the program, Ms. Le Thuong, Principal of Cay Tre (Bamboo) Vietnamese School and Vietnamese Language Ambassador 2026, affirmed: "The Spring Fair is a comprehensive experiential education model where Vietnamese is not only taught in the classroom but used in real life. When students communicate, buy and sell, read, and sing in Vietnamese, their love for the language and culture will naturally and sustainably form."
The highlight of the Fair was the family booths, prepared by parents and students. Here, students directly sold food, crafts, organized traditional games, and used real yen for transactions. This activity helps students practice communication skills, calculation, teamwork, and simultaneously practice Vietnamese in real-life contexts.

Additionally, the Vietnamese mobile community book station set up within the fairgrounds attracted many students and parents. Numerous Vietnamese children's books, cultural and historical books were introduced, read together, and narrated, contributing to the development of reading habits, and enriching the language and cultural knowledge of young Vietnamese abroad.
The Vietnamese New Year atmosphere at the fair was further enlivened by performances of dance, singing to welcome the Spring, traditional áo dài shows, and cultural exchanges performed by students and parents, creating a vibrant Vietnamese cultural scene in the heart of Osaka.

According to the Organizing Committee, the first-time collaboration of Vietnamese language schools to organize the Spring Fair marks a new development in Vietnamese language education and community connection in Japan.
Sharing at the event, Venerable Thich Duc Tri, Head of the Organizing Committee, emphasized: "The Spring Fair is not only a community cultural activity but also carries long-term educational significance, aligning with Resolution 80 on cultural and educational development, affirming that culture is the spiritual foundation of society, and education is the key driver for sustainable development. Caring for young Vietnamese abroad contributes to preserving and spreading the vitality of Vietnamese culture in the context of integration."
The organizers hope that the Spring Fair model combining education, culture, and experience will be maintained annually, gradually expanding in scale, becoming a highlight in the preservation of the Vietnamese language, promoting cultural identity, and strengthening the connection of the Vietnamese community in Japan.
