On August 7, a promotional event for the Tasteful Europe – Tradition and Quality programme, featuring business networking activities, was held in Ho Chi Minh City to foster trade and investment between Vietnamese and Polish enterprises.

The event was co-organised by the Polish Embassy in Vietnam, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), the Polish Chamber of Commerce (KIGCP), and the Ho Chi Minh City branch of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI-HCM).

Polish Ambassador to Vietnam Joanna Skoczek highlighted the long-standing friendship between the two nations, noting that they are celebrating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations (1950–2025) with a range of activities. She emphasised that bilateral ties have expanded beyond politics to multiple sectors, particularly trade and investment, with both sides actively engaging in next-generation free trade agreements, including the EU–Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).

In return for Vietnamese exports, Poland supplies high-quality products such as dairy items, processed meat, agricultural produce, and machinery. Bozena Wroblewska, President of KIGCP’s Promotion Centre, underlined that Polish goods consistently meet three core criteria: quality, flavour, and food safety, in accordance with both Polish and EU standards. She expressed Poland’s readiness to expand exports to Vietnam while also welcoming more Vietnamese products into its market, believing enhanced two-way trade would deepen business connections.

According to VCCI-HCM Director Tran Ngoc Liem, bilateral economic ties have developed positively in recent years. In the first seven months of 2025, trade between the two nations reached over USD 2.2 billion, a 14.2% year-on-year increase.

As of March 2025, Poland had 34 investment projects in Vietnam worth USD 474 million, while Vietnam had four projects in Poland valued at USD 1.84 million, mainly in services and processing industries. Liem noted that although current investment remains modest compared to both sides’ potential, activity has been increasing. Cooperation is expanding in high-tech agriculture, logistics, and food supply chains, in line with global sustainability trends.

Representatives from Polish trade and investment promotion agencies stressed that Poland, alongside the wider EU, regularly organises trade promotion activities in Vietnam and globally. With Vietnam’s growing appeal in international markets, Poland aims to strengthen not only trade but also long-term investment partnerships in the years ahead.
