The mark of a dedicated leader committed to Vietnamese agricultural products

For Nguyen Yen, more than two decades with the Hung Hau ecosystem represent a journey of perseverance, responsibility, and deep belief in the value of local agricultural products. This journey did not begin with grand strategies on paper but with a very practical attachment to each product, each processing plant, each raw material region, and the stringent demands of the market.

From her early days in the agricultural sector to her role as CEO of HungHau Foods, Nguyen Yen has gradually accumulated management experience through practice. This experience comes from understanding how a product is created, what farmers need, what customers expect, what international markets demand in terms of standards, and what Vietnamese food processing enterprises need to prepare for the long haul.

For her, Vietnamese agricultural products are not just raw materials. They are assets that require investment in technology, production standards, deep processing capabilities, and brand storytelling. This mindset has helped shape HungHau Foods' direction: not only producing to meet market demand but also gradually enhancing the value of Vietnamese products through R&D, quality standardization, brand development, and international market expansion.

Under her management and leadership, HungHau Foods and its member units have gradually expanded production capacity, developing many key product groups such as IQF frozen fruits and vegetables, COMOON bottled coconut water, OCHAO factory's cookies and snacks, Happy Noodles' nutritious pasta, and many other value-added food products. HungHau Foods' food products have brought value to Vietnam by being present in over 80 countries and territories, while also ensuring an outlet for farmers' products.

In addition to focusing on business operations, Nguyen Yen also pays special attention to human factors and organizational culture. She emphasizes building a team with expertise, a sense of responsibility, and shared pride in Vietnamese agricultural products. This attention has helped create a cohesive working environment, enabling HungHau Foods to be recognized as a "Vietnam Business Culture Standard Enterprise 2025". Nguyen Yen believes that building a business must start from the core: the human factor – people who understand their work, love the products they create, and are proud of the value they contribute.

Spreading responsibility from business to community

Under CEO Nguyen Yen's leadership and direction, HungHau Foods remains steadfast in its goal of developing high-quality, branded, responsible food products. For her, a business's development is measured not only by business growth but also by the positive values it can contribute to society.

HungHau Foods' products are researched and developed based on modern consumption trends: healthy, convenient, and environmentally friendly. Products like frozen mango ice cream, frozen vegetable tempura, and dried fruit are testaments to this direction. Through international exhibitions and fairs, CEO Nguyen Yen boldly introduces Vietnamese agricultural products to consumers and international partners. For CEO Nguyen Yen, every international partner who knows, favors, and chooses Vietnamese food products is a step towards enhancing the value of local agricultural products, building a brand for Vietnamese agricultural products in the international market, and stabilizing the domestic agricultural product output.

Alongside business operations, her enterprise also focuses on sustainable development and trading environmentally friendly products. Notably, OCHAO rice straw has achieved the Vietnam National Brand. The enterprise's recognition at the "Ho Chi Minh City Green Business" awards is a clear testament to CEO Nguyen Yen's leadership vision in linking business growth with environmental and corporate responsibility.

In addition to her executive role, CEO Nguyen Yen also cares about guiding the company's social and charitable activities. Through programs such as supporting the Hung Hau Heart Fund, helping those in difficult circumstances, donating relief goods to those affected by natural disasters, supporting cataract surgeries, and participating in many meaningful community activities, HungHau Foods continues to spread the spirit of sharing, compassion, and social responsibility.

These actions are not just corporate social responsibility activities but also reflect how CEO Nguyen Yen perceives the role of a business organization: development must go hand in hand with sharing, success must be linked with responsibility, and a company's value must be measured by the good it brings to the community.

Each year, HungHau Foods welcomes and guides about 350 students from various fields to intern, experience, and learn in the business environment. For her, this is not only an activity to train future human resources but also a way for the company to accompany education, opening opportunities for young people to understand the profession, hone skills, and nurture a love for the Vietnamese food industry.

CEO Nguyen Yen's Top 10 Outstanding Leaders 2026 recognition at the Asia Pacific Awards 2026 is well deserved for her persistent efforts, leadership spirit, and contributions over the years. More than just an individual accolade, this recognition is also a shared pride of the HungHau Foods collective, providing motivation for the company to continue steadfastly pursuing its goal of enhancing the value of Vietnamese agricultural products and developing quality, branded, and more community-responsible products.
