The political consultation aimed to review the cooperation between the two countries in recent times, particularly the implementation of agreements reached between the high-level leaders of the two countries during Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s visit to Poland. It also served as a platform to exchange measures to promote the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries and their Ministries of Foreign Affairs in the coming period, as well as to discuss international and regional issues of mutual concern.
At the political consultation, Polish Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Bartoszewski warmly welcomed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang, affirming that Poland values the friendship built and strengthened over the past 75 years on the foundation of political trust, shared interests, and common values between the two countries.
Secretary of State Bartoszewski emphasized that the two countries currently have all the necessary conditions to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in all fields, especially in economy, trade, and investment, for the development and prosperity of both nations, and to contribute to peace, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.
Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang expressed her pleasure at co-chairing the political consultation at a time when both sides are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and actively promoting bilateral ties.
The Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister affirmed that the relations between the two countries and peoples have always been nurtured and have achieved many positive results over the past 75 years. The Vietnamese people always deeply value and remember the precious support and solidarity of the Polish people during the struggle for national independence and unification, as well as in the current process of renovation and socio-economic development. Vietnam always attaches great importance to and wishes to strengthen multifaceted cooperation with Poland at both bilateral and multilateral levels, and is determined to work closely with Poland to effectively implement high-level commitments and agreements, thereby elevating bilateral relations to a new height in a more substantive and effective manner.
Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang and Secretary Bartoszewski agreed that in the coming time, the two sides will closely coordinate to arrange and carefully prepare for high-level visits, creating a solid political-diplomatic and legal foundation to establish and implement a long-term cooperation mechanism between the two countries. They will also regularly organize the political consultation mechanism between the two Foreign Ministries to coordinate and monitor the implementation of high-level agreements, support relevant ministries and agencies of both sides in resolving difficulties, and promote cooperation in specific fields.
Acknowledging the close coordination between the two countries at international organizations and multilateral forums, especially the United Nations, the two Foreign Ministry officials affirmed their commitment to continue consultations and support each other's candidacies to UN bodies and other international organizations. Vietnam supports Poland in strengthening its relations with ASEAN, while Poland supports Vietnam in enhancing its relations with the European Union (EU).

They agreed on the need for effective implementation of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), the removal of technical barriers, and the opening of markets to each other’s goods, particularly in sectors of mutual strength such as agriculture, forestry, fisheries, textiles, footwear, medical equipment, and pharmaceuticals. These measures aim to further boost export turnover and ensure balanced trade.
Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang and Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of Poland agreed to jointly promote the ratification and implementation of the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA), thereby creating favorable, safe, and efficient conditions for businesses from both sides to take advantage of opportunities and invest in each other’s strong and promising sectors.

In the area of defense and security, both sides supported the participation of their respective agencies and defense-security enterprises in relevant exhibitions and events held in each country. They also agreed to enhance exchanges, share experiences, and foster cooperation, particularly in combating cybercrime, organized crime, terrorism, and drug trafficking. They committed to promoting the negotiation, harmonization, and signing of corresponding cooperation documents.

Appreciating the numerous cultural and artistic events held in both countries during the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Poland, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang and the Polish Secretary of State agreed on the need to strengthen cooperation in culture, education, and training—including the teaching and learning of the Vietnamese and Polish languages. They also supported the early exploration by airlines of direct flight routes between capitals and major cities of both countries to boost tourism, people-to-people exchange, trade, and investment.
The two sides agreed to tap into the potential and opportunities for cooperation in fields such as mineral exploration, mining and processing, green and renewable energy development, high technology, semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), and other advanced sectors.
Exchanging views on international and regional issues of mutual concern, both sides expressed concern over tensions in several regions and emphasized that all parties involved should exercise restraint, refrain from the use or threat of force, and resolve disputes and conflicts through peaceful means in accordance with international law and the United Nations Charter.
Regarding the East Sea, both sides highlighted the importance of maintaining peace, stability, security, safety, and freedom of navigation and overflight in the region, with full respect for international law, particularly the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
On this occasion, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang expressed gratitude and requested that the Polish Government continue to create favourable conditions for the Vietnamese community in Poland to live, work, and integrate stably, contributing to Poland’s development and serving as a bridge to further promote the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.

She stressed the need for both sides to build upon the solid foundation of 75 years of traditional friendship and to leverage each country's strengths and positions -Vietnam within ASEAN and Poland within the EU - to promote cooperation in new areas. These efforts will serve the development goals of both nations and contribute to global peace, cooperation, and development.
On this occasion, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang conveyed an invitation from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son to Foreign Minister Sikorski to visit Vietnam.
