Russia provides emergency aids to people affected by natural disasters in Central Viet Nam

Also on the morning of October 30, the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) received emergency international aid from the Russian Federation government for people affected by heavy rains, floods, and inundation in Hue City.
The aid includes food, tents, essential supplies, and medicines, featuring 58 rescue and operational boats, 55 sets of tents, and a large quantity of canned food.
This support is carried out under the directive of the Russian Federation Government, demonstrating friendship and solidarity with the people of Vietnam.
At the handover ceremony, Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Gennady Bezdetko presented the aid to Mr. Nguyen Truong Son, Deputy Director General of the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control.
After receiving the aid, it is expected to be transferred to Hue City on the same day, October 30, for local distribution to residents in disaster-stricken areas.

Ambassador Gennady Bezdetko also expressed deep condolences to the Government and people of Vietnam for the losses and damages caused by recent floods in the Northern and Central regions. He pledged continued support for Vietnam in disaster prevention and control efforts.
Expressing gratitude for the valuable support from the Russian Government and people, Deputy Director General Nguyen Truong Son affirmed that the Department will effectively coordinate and promptly deliver the aid to the city for distribution to those affected by the disasters.
Previously, in September 2024, Russia dispatched a plane carrying 35 tons of goods to Vietnam, including mobile power stations, food, and essential supplies to help address the aftermath of Typhoon Yagi.
