Vietnam Consulate General in Osaka launches support campaign for people affected by Typhoon No. 10

WVR - On the afternoon of October 6, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Consulate General in Osaka, a solemn fundraising campaign was launched to support compatriots in Vietnam affected by Typhoon No. 10. The event attracted representatives from associations, businesses, prominent individuals, and a large number of Vietnamese expatriates in the Kansai region.

The launch ceremony contributed to spreading a humanitarian message, igniting the spirit of sharing and social responsibility among the Vietnamese community in Japan.

In his opening speech, Mr. Ngo Trinh Ha, Consul General of Vietnam in Osaka, expressed deep sympathy for the losses and damages that people in many provinces of Central and Northern Vietnam are enduring due to Typhoon No. 10.

The Consul General called on the Vietnamese community in Kansai to uphold the spirit of solidarity and the precious tradition of mutual support, joining hands to support the homeland, helping people quickly stabilize their lives after the storm.

Responding to Consul General Ngo Trinh Ha's call, Ms. Le Thuong, a Vietnamese expatriate in Japan, Principal of Cay Tre Vietnamese School, Director of the Vietnam Studies Center in Japan, and President of the Vietnamese General Association in the Kansai region, emphasized the attachment and responsibility of the expatriates to the homeland.

She shared that despite being far from home, the Vietnamese in Kansai always turn their hearts towards the motherland, hoping to contribute their small part to share difficulties and help the storm-affected people overcome adversity.

At the ceremony, representatives from associations, businesses, organizations, and Vietnamese individuals in Kansai directly contributed and committed to continuing to mobilize within the community to send the most practical support to Vietnam. Many expressed solidarity, showing the deep affection of overseas Vietnamese always directed towards the homeland in all circumstances.

The fundraising campaign organized by the Vietnam Consulate General in Osaka is one of the noble gestures, demonstrating the unity and mutual support of the Vietnamese community in Kansai.

The program contributes to spreading a humanitarian message, igniting the spirit of sharing and social responsibility among the Vietnamese community in Japan, directing practical and meaningful actions towards compatriots in Vietnam.
