During the meeting, Minister Le Hoai Trung expressed his delight at the positive developments in the Vietnam-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, appreciating the substantive progress in the implementation of the Action Program for the 2024-2027 period.
Sharing about Vietnam's new development orientation in the spirit of the 3rd Plenum of the 14th Party Central Committee, Minister Le Hoai Trung emphasized Vietnam's priority areas in science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, private economic development, and high-quality human resources. These are areas where Australia has strengths, opening up new cooperation opportunities between the two countries.
Minister Le Hoai Trung also suggested that both sides enhance cooperation in fields such as essential minerals, finance, marine science, high-tech agricultural processing, and supply chain development. He also urged the promotion of training cooperation in areas aligned with Vietnam's needs in its new development phase. The Minister highly valued Australia as one of Vietnam's important development partners and proposed that Australia continue its support through ODA programs addressing climate change response and high-quality infrastructure development...

Minister Anne Aly affirmed that Australia values Vietnam's increasingly significant role and position in the region, committing to effectively implementing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership to meet Vietnam's development priorities. Minister Anne Aly praised Vietnam's new development model, considering it a crucial basis for identifying key areas of cooperation. She confirmed that Australia's ODA programs will continue to align with Vietnam's development priorities. Minister Anne Aly emphasised that Australia stands ready to share experiences and knowledge, especially in areas like science, technology, artificial intelligence (AI), agricultural supply chain development, and sectors where Australia excels. She affirmed that Vietnam-Australia cooperation not only benefits both countries but also contributes to regional peace, stability, security, and prosperity.
Both Ministers agreed to enhance cooperation in human resource training, continue close coordination within ASEAN, Mekong cooperation, and regional mechanisms, contributing to the increasingly substantive, effective, and sustainable development of the Vietnam-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
