Responding to the call from the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the initiative from the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Party Committee of Vietnamese Missions in Australia, the Vietnamese Embassy in Australia, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Sydney, and the Consulate General of Vietnam in Perth organized a fundraising to support the provinces and cities in Vietnam severely affected by recent storms and floods.
With the spirit of solidarity and national unity, Party Secretary and Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Pham Hung Tam, Consul General of Vietnam in Sydney Nguyen Thanh Tung, Consul General of Vietnam in Perth Nguyen Thanh Ha, along with the Party Committee and representatives from various branches, actively participated in supporting compatriots in Vietnam affected by natural disasters.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Pham Hung Tam stressed the losses suffered by compatriots in Vietnam due to the typhoons and floods. He called on the staff of Vietnamese representative missions and Vietnamese communities in Australia to embrace the spirit of “mutual support” and “the good leaves protect the worn-out leaves” by contributing to support those affected in Vietnam.
The Ambassador affirmed that every act of sharing and assistance, both spiritually and materially, is a noble gesture, reflecting the love and responsibility towards the homeland. This is also a practical action to help disaster-stricken people stabilize their lives and restore production.
Contributions from organizations and individuals will continue to be accepted until October 12, after which they will be sent to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to promptly reach the victims affected by typhoons and floods, aiding in relief efforts and disaster recovery.
