On May 3, at the Higashiosaka City Cultural Center, Japan, the Vietnamese Association in Kansai organized a seminar combined with an art performance to commemorate the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2026) and International Labor Day on May 1.

The program attracted a large number of delegates, students, workers, and Vietnamese residents living, studying, and working in the Kansai area.

In a solemn and warm atmosphere, the delegates revisited the historical significance of the Great Spring Victory of 1975, a major milestone in the struggle for national liberation and reunification. They also emphasized the role of workers, the spirit of solidarity, and community responsibility in the current context of integration.

Speaking at the seminar, Le Thi Thuong, President of the Vietnamese Association in Kansai, stated that organizing community activities on major national holidays not only helps preserve Vietnamese cultural identity but also strengthens the bond between generations of overseas Vietnamese.

According to Le Thi Thuong, in this new phase of development, the Vietnamese community in Kansai needs to continue promoting solidarity, proactively integrate, contribute positively to the host society, and always look towards their homeland with practical actions.

Representing the younger generation, Nguyen Chi Nguyen shared that Vietnamese youth in Japan are always striving to study, work, train, and deeply understand the responsibility of preserving the Vietnamese language and culture in an international environment. Activities like this seminar provide an opportunity for the younger generation to better understand national history, thereby fostering pride and a sense of contribution to the community.

Alongside the seminar content, the art program with performances rich in national identity created a lively and cohesive atmosphere. Songs and dances about the homeland, meticulously choreographed, left a lasting impression on the attendees.

On this occasion, the Vietnamese Association in Kansai officially launched the Cultural and Arts Committee and the Communication Committee, aiming to meet development demands in the new phase, enhance community activity effectiveness, and strengthen information connectivity within the Vietnamese community in the area.

The program concluded in a warm atmosphere, reflecting the spirit of solidarity, national pride, and affection towards the homeland of the Vietnamese community in Kansai.
