As one of the major music events, “V Fest - Vietnam Today” celebrates the beauty of the Vietnamese people, culture, and country in the new era. The programme continues the success and concludes the series of grand music events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on 2 September.
Previously, VTV organised two programmes: “V Fest - Thanh Xuan Ruc Ro” (V Fest- Splandid Youth) and “V Concert - Rang Ro Viet Nam” (V Fest - Glorious Vietnam).
Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh conveyed respectful greetings, warm regards, and his best congratulations from General Secretary To Lam and the Party and State leaders to the delegates and the audience.
The Prime Minister recalled that President Ho Chi Minh, the genius leader and great teacher of the Vietnamese revolution, national liberation hero, and world cultural figure, once said: “Culture lights the way for the nation”.
According to the Prime Minister, 82 years ago, in the Vietnamese Cultural Outline, the Communist Party of Vietnam affirmed that culture must be scientific, national and mass-oriented. In the process of developing, defending and building the country, this has been expanded to include that culture must also be civilised and modern.
Documents from Party Congresses have recognised culture as an intrinsic strength and the spiritual foundation of the people and the nation. Former General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong stated clearly: “If culture survives, the nation survives; if culture is lost, the nation is lost”.

The Prime Minister noted that today, to concretise the Party’s and State’s creative and correct cultural direction, the Government is implementing a national programme for cultural development, promoting the cultural and entertainment industries, aiming for the people to enjoy a civilised and modern culture. This also contributes to internationalising a culture rich in national identity to the world and integrating human civilisation, allowing artists to dedicate themselves to art, public enjoyment, and national interest.
He emphasised that recently, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the heroic Vietnam People’s Public Security, the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the 80th National Day - marking the country’s independence and freedom - a series of cultural events with special art programmes and national music festivals were held, showcasing Vietnamese intellect, glory and national pride.
Highlighting the critical contribution of VTV to these achievements, the Prime Minister congratulated the broadcaster on 55 years of development and maturity. Most recently, on 7 September, under the witness of General Secretary To Lam and Party and State leaders, VTV launched the National Foreign Affairs Television Channel to promote Vietnam’s culture, values and human excellence to the world.
The Prime Minister praised VTV for its spirit of dedication in creating and successfully implementing several grand music programmes for the public, among which “V Fest - Vietnam Today” concluded the successful series of artistic events celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on 2 September.

Elaborately staged with advanced sound and lighting systems, a world-class stage and massive LED screens, “V Fest - Vietnam Today” attracted 22,000 attendees, delivering explosive and emotionally charged performances. The works were meticulously arranged, affirming Vietnamese cultural identity in the contemporary flow, while connecting multiple generations of artists through a shared love for music and homeland.
The programme was a brilliant highlight, closing a series of grand artistic events in September, commemorating both the 80th National Day and the 55th anniversary of the first broadcast of Vietnamese television (7 September 1970 - 7 September 2025).
