Hanoi hosts vibrant cultural and artistic activities celebrating National Day
WVR - Commemorating the 81st anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2, Hanoi organizes numerous art performances and thematic exhibitions across various locations, bringing the festive atmosphere closer to residents and tourists.

Spreading the festive atmosphere across various locations
On the evening of August 19, according to the plan by the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, six art units under the department organize performances for the public in various communes and wards.
The Thang Long Song and Dance Theater will conduct a large-scale art program in Cau Giay ward; the Thang Long Water Puppet Theater will perform in Ngoc Hoi commune; and the Hanoi Circus and Variety Arts Theater will entertain audiences in Quang Minh commune.
Simultaneously, the Hanoi Cheo Theater will organize a program in Binh Minh commune, the Hanoi Cai Luong Theater will perform in Hat Mon commune, and the Hanoi Drama Theater will conduct a program in Ba Vi commune.
The programs are themed around revolutionary traditions, patriotism, national pride, and praise for the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, the homeland, the country, and the capital Hanoi.
Organizing performances in various locations helps provide opportunities for a wide audience to directly enjoy the arts, while also creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere on the occasion of the major holiday.
The performances will continue to expand during National Day. On the evening of August 28, the Cultural and Library Centre will organize a program in Hoa Lac commune. On the evening of September 1, the Thang Long Song and Dance Theater will perform in Dan Phuong commune; the Hanoi Circus and Variety Arts Theater will conduct a program in Minh Chau commune.
Notably, on the evening of September 2, the Hanoi Cheo Theater will organize a large-scale art program at the Ba Kieu Temple flower garden area in Hoan Kiem ward. On the same evening, the Hanoi Drama Theater will perform in Phuc Son commune, the Hanoi Cai Luong Theater in Bat Trang commune, and the Thang Long Water Puppet Theater in Dai Xuyen commune.
With the participation of various art forms, from cheo, cai luong, drama, puppetry to circus and song and dance programs, the series of activities is expected to meet the diverse cultural enjoyment needs of the public. The combination of traditional art with modern performances also creates a sense of closeness and appeal to many audience groups.
From stage to heritage space
In addition to performances, Hanoi also organizes exhibitions and displays to provide the public with more opportunities to learn about history and revolutionary traditions during the commemoration.
From August 19 to September 5, the Management Board of Hoa Lo Prison Relic will organize the thematic exhibition “Tam son, chi thep” at the Hoa Lo Prison Relic, commemorating the 81st anniversary of the successful August Revolution, National Day on September 2, and the 81st anniversary of the People's Public Security tradition.
The exhibition focuses on showcasing the contributions and sacrifices of the People's Public Security forces in the struggle for national liberation and protection of the Fatherland; highlighting the spirit of serving the Fatherland and the people.
Through documents and historical stories, the exhibition aims to foster gratitude, pride, and a sense of responsibility among today's generation, especially the youth, in continuing traditional values and contributing to the nation's construction and defense.

The series of cultural and artistic activities in Hanoi during the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 not only create additional community cultural spaces but also bring history and revolutionary traditions closer to contemporary life.
