The highlight of this year's Film Week is the first-time participation of the entire commercial cinema system nationwide in a large-scale free film screening program.
To date, the National Cinema Center along with 13 film distribution and cinema business enterprises, including CGV, Galaxy, Lotte Cinema, Beta Cinema, AEON BETA, BHD, Cinestar, Cinemax, MegaGS, EVG, Dcine, Starlight, and Rio, have confirmed their participation with a total of 190 cinema complexes.
On July 22, 23, and 24, cinemas will host two free screenings each day (at 10 AM and 4 PM), serving veterans, contributors and policy families, armed forces, union members, youth, students, and the general public.
The selected films are notable revolutionary and historical works of Vietnamese cinema such as Dung dot, Mui co chay, Nhung nguoi viet huyen thoai, Duong xuyen rung, Truyen thuyet ve Quan Tien, and Binh minh do.
The opening ceremony of the Film Week will take place at 7 PM on July 21 at the National Cinema Center (Hanoi), featuring the film Dung dot.
Subsequently, regional opening programs will be held in Ho Chi Minh City (July 22) and Ha Tinh (July 23), featuring film screenings and interactions with film crews and veterans. On July 24, the film crew of Thanh am vuot dai duong will continue to interact with audiences in Quang Tri.
The screening schedule is announced on the websites of the cinemas and through media channels. Tickets are distributed for free at the counters 3-5 days before each screening. Some seats will also be reserved for veterans and policy beneficiaries to watch directly without prior ticket collection.
