General Secretary and President To Lam, solemnly offered flowers and incense in remembrance, expressing deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who bravely fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and reunification at Tan Bien Martyrs' Cemetery (Hill 82 Martyrs' Cemetery).
Also attending were Politburo members: Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of its Organisation Commission; Le Minh Tri, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of its Commission for Internal Affairs; Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of its Commission for Policies and Strategies; General Phan Van Giang, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence; General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security; General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army; and Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; and former Party and State leaders; among others.

Former Politburo members, Central Committee members, former Central Committee members, leaders, former leaders of the Party and State, central agencies, ministries, sectors, mass organizations, the Vietnam Fatherland Front; leaders, former leaders of Tay Ninh province, and former leaders of Long An province attended the incense offering ceremony.
In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, General Secretary and President To Lam and the delegates offered flowers and incense, observing a moment of silence to honour the contributions of the heroic martyrs who fought and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation.
Hill 82 Martyrs' Cemetery is the resting place of over 15,000 martyrs from all over the country. Each grave is an immortal epic, engraved with the spirit of patriotism, the will to fight, and the noble sacrifice for the nation.
The cemetery also featyres many memorial sections dedicated to martyrs from various sectors, including Education; the Central Economic and Financial Committee of the Southern Region; youth volunteers; medical staff and soldiers of the Southern Civilian Medical Committee; and the armed police forces.
