From May 17 to 19, in celebration of the 136th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (19/5/1890-19/5/2026), , under the direction of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, the city's art units will organize a variety of unique art performances for the public in various communes and wards.
Specifically, on the evening of May 17, the Hanoi Drama Theater will perform in Hoa Phu commune, while the Hanoi Circus and Variety Arts Theater will perform in Yen Bai commune.
On the evening of May 19, the Hanoi Cheo Theater will perform in Duong Hoa commune, the Hanoi Cai Luong Theater will perform in Phu Dien ward, the Thang Long Water Puppet Theater will perform in Vinh Thanh commune, and the Thang Long Music and Dance Theater will perform in Duong Noi ward.
The art units will present numerous performances praising the Communist Party of Vietnam; the homeland, country, and people of Vietnam; and President Ho Chi Minh – the brilliant leader of our Party and people, a national liberation hero, and a world cultural figure. They will honor his illustrious revolutionary life and career.
The programs will also deeply portray Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, especially his exemplary patriotism, love for the people, self-sacrifice, simple lifestyle, and dedication to the nation and its people. They reflect the profound love and gratitude of officials, Party members, and people from all walks of life towards President Ho Chi Minh, contributing to educating revolutionary traditions and nurturing the ideals, ethics, and lifestyle of the younger generation.
This activity also aims to enhance the cultural and spiritual life of the people; create a joyful and exciting atmosphere; strengthen the great national unity; and widely spread the values of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style in life.
