The event was attended by Consul General of Vietnam in Vladivostok Nguyen Viet Kien, representatives of the Vietnamese community in Primorye, scholars, cultural figures, students from Kharol High School No. 3, and numerous Russian friends who cherish Vietnam.
In her opening remarks, Executive Committee member of the Vietnam Friendship Association O.I. Vasina emphasized the special affection the people of the Far East have for President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam.
During the program, delegates watched a documentary about President Ho Chi Minh's activities during his time living, studying, and working in Russia; listened to presentations and shared insights on President Ho Chi Minh's role in laying the foundation for Vietnam-Russia friendship and the people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

At the seminar, Consul General Nguyen Viet Kien expressed his emotions regarding the affection that the Friendship Association and the people of Primorye have for President Ho Chi Minh. The Consul General emphasized that Russia holds a special place in both the revolutionary career and the personal sentiments of President Ho Chi Minh. Throughout his life, he visited Russia multiple times. President Ho Chi Minh also laid the groundwork for the close friendship between Vietnam and Russia. This relationship continues to be nurtured and developed sustainably by many generations of leaders and citizens of both countries.
Consul General Nguyen Viet Kien affirmed that Vladivostok is a significant milestone in President Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary activities, with three visits to the city. During his first visit to Vladivostok in 1924, staying at the Versailles Hotel, he wrote many important articles, including "Asian Issues," which highlighted Asia's position and the national liberation movement, serving as a theoretical and political preparation for the eventual founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam in 1930.

Recalling that Vladivostok was also a city that strongly responded to President Ho Chi Minh's call, directly producing and transporting the majority of weapons, military equipment, and aid goods by sea to Hai Phong port during Vietnam's struggle for independence, the Consul General noted that many people and former Russian soldiers living in Vladivostok and the Far East still hold dear images of President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, and its people. This is a precious sentiment that no material wealth can replace.
On this occasion, the Consul General expressed his hope that members of the Friendship Association and Russian scholars will continue to support the search and collection of additional materials related to President Ho Chi Minh's visits to Vladivostok, contributing to preserving and spreading the historical values of the Vietnam-Russia friendship.
Many opinions at the seminar expressed deep affection from Russian friends for President Ho Chi Minh and the traditional Vietnam-Russia friendship.
Zinaida Andreevna Iovkova, Honorary President of the Friendship Association with Vietnam in Primorye, expressed her respect for the country and people of Vietnam. She noted that the image of President Ho Chi Minh has long become a close symbol for many generations of Russians who love Vietnam, especially in the Far East.
According to her, the friendship between the peoples of the two countries was formed during difficult historical times, nurtured by sincere sharing and assistance, and continues to be maintained through cultural, educational, and people-to-people exchanges. She emphasized the importance of the younger Russian generation learning about Vietnam's history, President Ho Chi Minh, and the Vietnam-Russia friendship to preserve the beautiful traditional values between the two nations. She expressed her wish for the Friendship Association with Vietnam in Primorye to continue serving as a bridge connecting the peoples of the two countries, particularly promoting youth exchanges, historical education, and cultural cooperation to ensure the Vietnam-Russia friendship continues to be passed down through generations.

In sharing about people-to-people exchange activities, Irina Vitalievna Zryutina, Secretary of the Friendship Association, emotionally recalled the visits to Vietnam by Russian youth delegations organized by the Association in 2013-2014 at the invitation of the People's Committee of Hai Phong City to attend the International Festival of Red River Delta Ethnic Groups. During the journey, the delegation visited many historical sites, including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi. She shared that the moment of visiting the Mausoleum left a special impression on the delegation members and expressed her desire to return to Vietnam soon.
For Dr. V. V. Korskov, he believes that the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh symbolize patriotism, the aspiration for national independence, and freedom for humanity. He emphasized that President Ho Chi Minh was not only a steadfast revolutionary but also a great cultural figure with profound humanitarian ideas, always advocating for peace, justice, and solidarity among nations.
According to Korskov, President Ho Chi Minh's name and ideology inspire the global national liberation movement. He also recalled the special role of Russia in President Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary activities, with Vladivostok being a deeply connected location where he visited three times. President Ho Chi Minh's visits to Russia after the establishment of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, he noted, contributed to building the "first bridges" for the strong solidarity and friendship between the peoples of Vietnam and the former Soviet Union, now the Russian Federation.

Representing the younger generation from Khorol High School No. 3, 11th-grade student O.V. Karelina recounted stories of former Khorol pilots who served in Vietnam during the war years. She expressed pride and gratitude for the previous generation, who contributed to nurturing the friendship between the peoples of the two countries through challenging historical times.

Also at the event, Russian poet N.A. Forikova presented a newly composed poem praising President Ho Chi Minh. She emotionally shared that although she belongs to a later generation of Russians, she learned about President Ho Chi Minh through the memories and emotions of her forebears. She always remembers the greatness yet simplicity and sincerity of President Ho Chi Minh.
The discussions at the seminar not only recalled the historical ties between President Ho Chi Minh and Russia but also demonstrated the sincere and enduring affection that many generations of people in the Russian Far East hold for Vietnam today.
