WVR - On the morning of April 28, on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026), and the 72nd anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2026), in Dien Bien province, Politburo Member, Standing Member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, along with the Central delegation, offered incense in memory of the heroes and martyrs.

The delegation included Central Party Committee Member, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang, leaders from the Central Party Office, central ministries, and agencies.

From Dien Bien province, there were Central Party Committee Member, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Tien Dung; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; veterans and ethnic people of Dien Bien province.

At the Dien Bien Phu Battlefield Martyrs' Temple, Standing Member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu and the delegation solemnly offered incense and laid flowers to express infinite gratitude to the great President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap, and the predecessors who led the revolution and Vietnamese army to achieve the nation's great victory; to remember and honour the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

The Dien Bien Phu Victory is a brilliant milestone, an immortal epic, symbolizing revolutionary heroism, further glorifying the thousands of years of history of building and defending the nation of Vietnam.

To achieve this great victory, thousands of Vietnam's finest sons and daughters bravely fought, served in combat, and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for socialism, and for the happiness of the people. Before the spirits of the martyrs, today's and future generations vow to continue the cause of building a prosperous, strong, and civilized Vietnam.

The martyrs' temple at the Dien Bien Phu Battlefield on Hill F is a solemn and sacred structure, a place to honour the heroes, martyrs, and compatriots who sacrificed in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign. With the tradition of “Drinking water, remember its source”, “Gratitude”, the temple expresses the deep gratitude of today's generation, fulfilling the wishes of the families of martyrs, those who contributed to the revolution, veterans, and people across the country.

The martyrs' temple at the Dien Bien Phu Battlefield is built on Hill F, one of the 45 component relics of the Dien Bien Phu Battlefield complex, which has been recognized as a special national relic.

The temple structure has a unique architecture, harmoniously combining historical, cultural, landscape, and traditional religious elements, serving as a spiritual destination, evoking national pride. The project commenced on March 13, 2021, marking the day the opening battle of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign took place, and was inaugurated on May 28, 2022.

The Dien Bien Phu Battlefield Martyrs' Temple is a complete connection within the overall memorial and historical relic area: Hill A1, Dien Bien Phu Martyrs' Cemetery, Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum, Dien Bien Phu Victory Monument...; covering nearly 0.5 hectares, designed with multiple spatial layers, featuring three main spaces: the introductory space (from the entrance to the Introduction Courtyard); the memorial space (including the Meditation Courtyard and Memorial Lake); and the spiritual space - the main temple.

To offer incense to the heroes, martyrs, and compatriots at the main temple, visitors will ascend 199 stone steps. Each spatial layer here carries historical significance, conveying the most profound messages and gratitude.

The martyrs' temple at the Dien Bien Phu Battlefield has now become a destination in the journey of gratitude whenever visitors come to the heroic land of Dien Bien Phu. The structure symbolizes the indomitable spirit of “Determined to die for the Fatherland to live” – a red address in educating revolutionary traditions for today's and future generations.

They have remained in the Muong Thanh valley, further embellishing the national flag. Today's generation always remembers the historical stories of the 56 days and nights as an immortal epic of the spirit of determination to sacrifice for the Fatherland to live.

The National Martyrs' Cemetery A1 is part of the historical relic complex of Hill A1, located in Muong Thanh ward – the resting place of the nation's heroic sons and daughters. This place has become a symbol of patriotic tradition, indomitable resilience, and the heroic sacrifice of our army and people during the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.

The National Martyrs' Cemetery A1 stands as a testament to a glorious historical period of the Vietnamese nation, attracting visitors and citizens to pay tribute, commemorate, and express gratitude for the immense contributions and sacrifices of heroic generations.
