Ms. Dam Huong Thuy, Head of the Organizing Committee, shared: “I have trusted Hang Nguyen and David Le for many years. Their passion for the profession, meticulousness, and strong sense of responsibility not only ensure high quality, but also help to promote a cultural mission — spreading the beauty of the Ao Dai and fostering love for the sea and islands among the public.
With a desire to connect fashion, culture, and art, David Le is striving to bring the Vietnamese ao dai to the global stage by integrating indigenous elements into each design. “I want the ao dai to be more than just a costume — I want it to be a cultural ambassador, conveying the message of a Vietnam rich in tradition and open to global integration,” he affirmed.
Following the contest, designer Hang Nguyen officially launched her own brand, Ao Dai Sac Viet, continuing her journey of promoting national cultural values through each creation. For her, the ao dai is a deep source of inspiration, nurtured by her mother — a symbol of elegance and heritage that has accompanied Vietnamese women for generations.

“Although today’s ao dai has been modernized to suit modern aesthetics, I always keep the traditional spirit in every seam and cut. It is not only fashion but also a cultural identity that needs to be preserved and honoured,” shared designer Hang Nguyen.
The emotional and artistic appearance of the ao dai designs at Miss Sea Island Vietnam 2025 is a testament to the enduring vitality of the national cultural heritage, while affirming the role of fashion in connecting people with their roots, with nature, especially the sea and islands – a sacred part of the Fatherland.
