At the launch ceremony on December 14, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Nga, Vice President of CLBDSADVN in Romania, announced the decision to recognize CLBDSADVN in Romania as a member organization of CLBDSADVN in Europe, and approved Ms. Nguyen Hong Lien, President of CLBDSADVN in Romania, as a member of the Executive Committee of CLBDSADVN in Europe.
Sharing with CLBDSADVN members in Romania, Ms. Nguyen Hong Lien expressed her special feelings and hopes that the image of the Vietnamese Ao Dai will continue to spread widely within the Vietnamese community in Romania as well as to international friends.
She stated that since the inception of CLBDSADVN, the desire to honour the beauty of the Vietnamese women's Ao Dai has spread to many provinces and cities in the country and to many countries around the world.
To date, CLBDSADVN clubs have been established in many European countries such as France, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Belgium, Sweden, Slovakia, and more.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Romania Do Duc Thanh expressed his delight at the establishment of CLBDSADVN in Romania, considering it an important event in the series of activities commemorating the 75th anniversary of Vietnam-Romania diplomatic relations.
Ambassador Do Duc Thanh hopes that CLBDSADVN in Romania will implement many practical and creative activities to promote Vietnamese culture, preserve national identity, strengthen the Vietnamese community's cohesion in the area, and widely introduce the image of the Vietnamese Ao Dai to the local people, thereby fostering cultural exchange and enhancing solidarity between the two nations.
The Ambassador also affirmed that the Vietnamese Embassy will continue to accompany and support Vietnamese associations in general, and CLBDSADVN in Romania in particular, in implementing activities to preserve and promote the heritage value of the Vietnamese Ao Dai.
In a letter to CLBDSADVN in Romania, Dr. Phan Bich Thien, President of CLBDSADVN in Europe, extended warm congratulations to the Executive Board and all members of CLBDSADVN in Romania.
The President of CLBDSADVN in Europe emphasized that this event marks an important milestone in the process of promoting and honoring the value of the Vietnamese Ao Dai costume and culture to international friends.
She believes that the establishment of CLBDSADVN in Romania, as well as in other European countries, will contribute to the goal of having the Vietnamese Ao Dai recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
The launch ceremony of CLBDSADVN in Romania also featured many special performances such as Ao Dai fashion shows and traditional Vietnamese costumes, conical hat dances, fan dances, and calligraphy dances combined with Ao Dai costumes, performed by about 50 members of different generations of the club.
On this occasion, responding to the call of the Vietnamese Embassy in Romania, Vietnamese associations and expatriates living, working, and studying there raised nearly 3,500 USD to send to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to support compatriots in the Central and Central Highlands regions affected by recent storms and floods.
