At 6:30 AM on September 2, the parade and march commemorating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2 (A80) will officially take place at Ba Dinh Square (Hanoi). It is expected that over 40,000 participants will join, including units from the armed forces (military, police), public procession units, standing units, and military equipment, special vehicles...

The official parade and march have been eagerly awaited by the public. As a result, along streets near Ba Dinh Square such as Hung Vuong – Nguyen Thai Hoc, many people have already arrived to secure their spots from the night of August 31 to the morning of September 1.

In the final days of August 2025, on the streets of Hanoi, rehearsals and full-dress rehearsals for the parade and march celebrating the 80th National Day (A80) have been taking place continuously.

Along the parade routes, from early on, citizens have been jostling to find the best vantage points to witness the magnificent spectacle. The public cannot hide their emotions of pride and excitement.

Not only in Hanoi, but from provinces and cities across the country, a large number of people have arrived in the capital to witness these historic performances. Convoys from various localities continuously pour into Hanoi, united by a shared heart and a sacred love for the nation.

Each street seems to don a bright red garment, illuminating the entire space, reminiscent of the nation's glorious history. The public's joy is not merely a celebration of the day but also a profound gratitude to the generations who sacrificed for the nation's independence and freedom. The A80 Grand Ceremony is not only an occasion to honour past victories but also a reaffirmation of the determination to build and protect the nation in the new era.

5 Prime Spots to Watch the Parade and March

Besides finding the "golden spots" to view the air force's aircraft, citizens also need the best positions to conveniently follow and capture beautiful moments of the parade and march units.

Area around Ba Dinh Square: This is the "heart" of the event, where the most important ceremonies take place. The advantage of this location is the solemn and sacred atmosphere, allowing close-up observation of the formations. However, this area is reserved for invited delegates.

Nguyen Thai Hoc-Kim Ma Axis: Dubbed the "people's grandstand", this straight and wide road is ideal for viewing the entire procession.

Cua Nam Intersection: This is a special highlight on the route. The moment when formations simultaneously change steps at a corner creates an artistic and disciplined image.

Hoan Kiem Lake Area (Hang Khay-Trang Tien): This is the end point of the parade route, carrying deep symbolic meaning. Watching the troops advance towards the "heart" of the capital evokes indescribable pride and emotion.

Lieu Giai-Van Cao Streets: As an extension of the Kim Ma axis, these two streets offer more open space, with expected lower crowd density compared to the central area. This is a good choice for those who want a comfortable space to observe and take photos.
