Additionally, Vice Chairman Pham Van Nghiem also announced two strategic decisions.
First, for the first time, the Le Quy Don Award in Science and Technology is launched. This is a groundbreaking initiative by Hung Yen Province to concretize the spirit of valuing talents and honoring the intellect of cultural icons. The provincial leadership tasked the Department of Science and Technology with swiftly finalizing the award regulations, ensuring transparency, credibility, and high professional quality. The award must become a powerful catalyst, sparking a movement of research, creativity, and the application of scientific and technological advancements in production and life, directly serving the province's digital transformation and green economic development.
Second, the announcement of the Conservation, Restoration, and Preservation Plan for the National Special Relic of the Mausoleum and Temple of the Tran Dynasty Kings. This event reflects the strategic vision of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee in preserving and promoting cultural heritage values linked to sustainable tourism development. The Department of Construction, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and relevant district and town People's Committees need to seriously implement this plan. The implementation steps must strictly adhere to the Law on Cultural Heritage while maximizing social resources to transform the relic complex into a premier spiritual, cultural, and historical destination in the Red River Delta region.

| Scholar and Baccalaureate Le Quy Don is an outstanding phenomenon in the history of Vietnamese culture, science, and philosophy. His monumental contributions span various fields, from philosophy, history, geography, literature to politics and diplomacy, leaving a vast legacy of knowledge for posterity. UNESCO's resolution to honor and join Vietnam in commemorating the 300th Birth Anniversary of Cultural Icon Le Quy Don is a clear testament to the enduring vitality and universal value of this "great intellect and talent" of Vietnam. |
For Hung Yen Province, being entrusted by the Central Government with the responsibility of hosting key activities is both an honor and a significant political responsibility. This is a golden opportunity for Hung Yen to promote the image of a culturally rich land and its friendly, dynamic people to domestic and international friends, while also educating the province's younger generation on patriotism, the spirit of learning, and the aspiration to contribute.
The core and most important event in the series is the national-scale 300th Birth Anniversary of Cultural Icon Le Quy Don, taking place at the Le Quy Don Cultural Icon Memorial Site at 8:00 PM on July 31, 2026. According to the plan, the event will welcome about 6,000 delegates, including Party and State leaders, UNESCO representatives, international delegations, and a broad spectrum of the public.
