The Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports officially launched and introduced the website and app "A80 - Proud of Vietnam" on social media platforms to serve the public during the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025).
The website and app "A80 - Proud of Vietnam" on social media platforms carry the message: “To not miss the major national events celebrating 80 years of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, download the A80 Proud of Vietnam app or visit website a80.hanoi.gov.vn".
“A80 - Proud of Vietnam” is updated with official information from the city's departments, continuously providing news closely following the events. It also offers details on schedules, participation methods, and important notes and instructions for attending the events; providing routes, directions, and essential information for event participants.
This platform is built as a centralized, unified, and reliable digital information hub, updating comprehensively, timely, and accurately all content related to the celebration. With this platform, domestic citizens, overseas Vietnamese, and international friends can proactively access official information about: Parade schedules; art programs, cultural-historical exhibitions; announcements on event timings, traffic regulation, security, and health from authorities; behind-the-scenes information, beautiful images, live broadcast videos, along with the most memorable moments from people across the country.

An AI chatbot supports information queries about events, guides, and directs attendees. Community interaction activities like creating cards, avatars.

Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Nguyen Thi Mai Huong stated that “A80 - Proud of Vietnam” has been developed as a centralised, unified and reliable digital information hub, providing complete, timely and accurate coverage of all content related to the commemorations. The A80 platform integrates advanced features such as an AI Chatbot acting as a “virtual assistant”, ready to guide events, directions and real-time reminders for participation.
It can be said that this platform is not only a technological tool serving the national celebration but also a digital cultural statement of the capital, Hanoi, where a heroic past, a creative present and an integrated future converge. From the historic mark of 1945 to the digital transformation era, Hanoi continues to affirm its position as the political, cultural, and creative centre of the country, a thousand-year-old city of civilisation, dedicated to peace and prosperity.
This is precisely a bridge connecting the past with the present, linking the government with the people, and the nation with friends around the world, creating a brilliant symphony called Vietnam.
A highlight in the design of the “A80 - Proud of Vietnam” digital platform is its modern festival spirit, closely associated with the identity of Thang Long - Hanoi. The homepage prominently features an image of President Ho Chi Minh reading the Declaration of Independence, alongside a marching parade, evoking historical pride. Content sections are arranged logically, from the event list and digital map to the photo and video library.
The “A80 - Proud of Vietnam” platform also allows the community to participate in creative activities, with features such as creating e-cards and 80-year avatars to share on social networks. In this way, every citizen becomes a “messenger” spreading patriotic spirit and national pride.
