Vietnamese fans warned about use of Fan ID to travel to Russia
The Consulate Department under the Foreign Ministry has advised Vietnamese fans travelling to Russia on Fan IDs to use the document on the right purpose and obey the host country’s regulations to avoid legal problems or being stuck at foreign airports amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

A Fan ID is a mandatory document for all the spectators of UEFA EURO 2020 matches in Saint Petersburg (Russia) in 2021.
According to the department, many Vietnamese citizens using Fan IDs have been denied entry to Russia and deported due to they using the document for the wrong purpose or failing to prove that they travel to Russia to watch the tournament.
The department urged Vietnamese fans to thoroughly study Russia’s regulations about entry-exit, residence registration and air tickets, as well as banned activities when travelling to the country.
