Vietnam-Poland conduct first Consular Consultation in Warsaw

The meeting was organized to enhance understanding of each side's policies and regulations related to consular affairs, immigration, and residency, thereby discussing ways to facilitate procedures for citizens of both countries.
The Vietnamese side requested Poland to pay attention to and improve the visa approval procedures for Vietnamese citizens entering Poland for business, work, study, and family reunification. They also urged for a reduction in the processing time for issuing and renewing residence cards for Vietnamese citizens living and studying in Poland.

The Polish side highly appreciated the contributions of the Vietnamese community in Poland and expressed a desire for more Vietnamese students to study in Poland. They also affirmed their commitment to continue working with Vietnam to review and agree on measures to improve and expedite visa and residence card approvals.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged experiences on the practical implementation of the Hague Convention on the Abolition of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents (Apostille Convention) and the application of information technology in citizen protection work.
Amidst the strengthening political relations between the two countries and the rapid increase in the number of citizens traveling and touring, both sides agreed on the need to continue dialogue to enhance understanding and establish mechanisms and measures to further facilitate citizens. They also agreed to organize the second Vietnam-Poland consular consultation in Hanoi in 2027.
