In his opening speech, Vietnamese Ambassador to France Trinh Duc Hai extended New Year greetings to the Vietnamese community, expressing confidence that the Year of Binh Ngo will build on past achievements, propelling the nation into a new phase of development with aspirations for growth.
Dinh Ngoc Duc, Director of the Vietnamese Cultural Center in France, shared that the Spring Market is not only an annual event but also a communal space, helping expatriates reconnect with the traditional Tet flavors.
Through cultural activities, the program helps nurture a sense of homeland, especially among the younger generation born and raised in France.
Within the Centre's premises, the Vietnamese Tet atmosphere was vividly recreated with red couplets, lanterns, peach blossoms, apricot flowers, and the lively sound of lion drums.
The activity of wrapping banh chung attracted nearly 200 teenagers, students, and even young French participants. Under meticulous guidance, attendees experienced each step and learned about the symbolic significance of bánh chưng in Vietnamese Tet culture.

The children's area was bustling with activities like painting, making lucky money envelopes, and crafting to he (sculturing by sticky with a Spring theme. Food stalls offered traditional dishes such as banh chung, spring rolls, gio cha, banh gio, and sweet che, evoking the taste of home.
Traditional music was a highlight of the program, featuring performances of dan tranh and dan T'rung interspersed with a student-led Gala.
Notably, the bilingual Tao Quan skit reflecting the life of the Vietnamese community in France received much audience acclaim.
Many French guests expressed their impression of the event's richness. Alexandre Duval remarked that the event provided a comprehensive cultural experience, from cuisine and attire to music, helping the French public better understand Vietnamese identity.

Meanwhile, Mei Lazano shared that cooking traditional dishes together created a warm, close-knit feeling and opened opportunities to explore Vietnamese Tet customs more deeply.
For the overseas Vietnamese community, the Spring Market is an occasion to meet, share, and reconnect with homeland emotions. Held over two days, February 21 and 22, the program not only recreated the traditional Tet atmosphere but also helped spread the image of a vibrant, open, and culturally rich Vietnam in the heart of Paris.
