The contest is organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Ministry of Home Affairs. It aims to enhance legal understanding, supporting the Vietnamese community in integrating, living, and working safely and stably in Japan.

The contest is open to all Vietnamese citizens (who have not changed nationality) currently studying, working, and living in Japan.

The contest is conducted online, comprising two sections: multiple-choice and essay. Contestants can submit their essays in either Vietnamese or Japanese. Entries will be accepted until September 15, 2026.

The organizers will award numerous valuable individual and group prizes. The Special Prize includes a round-trip ticket from Japan to Vietnam and a cash prize of 30,000 yen; the First Prize is worth 80,000 yen; two Second Prizes, each worth 50,000 yen; five Third Prizes, each worth 30,000 yen; and 10 Consolation Prizes, each worth 10,000 yen.

Additionally, 3 to 5 group prizes, each worth 20,000 yen, will be awarded to units, organizations, businesses, schools, or communities with a large and active number of participants.

The contest is executed by the Vietnam-Japan International Exchange Organization (FAVIJA) and the Vietnamese Media Channel in Japan (HONTO TV), in collaboration with the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, the Immigration Services Agency of Japan (FRESC), and several supporting units.
