The event is organized by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in collaboration with the Hanoi College of Commerce and Tourism, with the aim of strengthening cultural ties between the two nations, both home to magnificent ancient civilizations and introducing Hanoians to the rich musical heritage of Iran.
The Sar Afshan band features talented artists with extensive experience in performing traditional Iranian music. The ensemble has appeared at renowned art events such as the Fajr International Music Festival (Iran), Iranian Radio and Television, and the Caspian Music Festival (Kazakhstan), as well as in cultural exchange programs in Uzbekistan.
Traditional Iranian music is often described as a mirror reflecting the nation’s glorious history, refined artistic beauty, and deep-rooted cultural traditions. As one of the most distinctive expressions of Eastern civilization, it stands as a precious gem in the world’s cultural heritage, conveying messages of inner peace, spiritual devotion, cultural harmony, and friendship among peoples.
The upcoming performance by Sar Afshan band, to be held at the Hanoi College of Commerce and Tourism on the morning of October 9, promises to offer Vietnamese audiences a rare opportunity to experience the depth and charm of Iranian traditional music and to celebrate the enduring bonds between Iran and Vietnam.
