During the meeting, Deputy PM and Minister Bui Thanh Son highly appreciated Ambassador Nazari’s active contributions to the recent progress in Vietnam-Iran relations, particularly in organizing high-level delegation exchanges and promoting cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, and cultural exchange.

Looking ahead, Deputy PM proposed that both sides continue to strengthen political trust, exchange delegations, promote economic cooperation and people-to-people ties, and support each other at international forums.
In the immediate future, he suggested that the two countries work closely together to prepare for the upcoming meeting of the Vietnam-Iran Joint Committee, review the implementation of signed agreements, and especially promote economic and trade cooperation, striving to raise bilateral trade turnover to 2 billion USD as agreed by the two countries' senior leaders.
Ambassador Nazari expressed his sincere thanks to the leaders of the Party, the State, and especially Deputy PM and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, as well as Vietnamese ministries and agencies, for their support and effective cooperation with the Embassy in advancing bilateral relations.
He affirmed that in recent years, the two countries have organized a number of high-level delegation exchanges with tangible and substantive outcomes, particularly the visits to Iran by the Chairman of the National Assembly (August 2023) and the Minister of Public Security To Lam (May 2023).

The Ambassador noted that Vietnam and Iran share many cultural and historical similarities, which form a strong foundation for enhancing cooperation across all fields, especially in economy, trade, and people-to-people exchange.
He emphasized that Iran consistently prioritizes promoting a comprehensive cooperative relationship with Vietnam, and affirmed that in any future role, he will continue encouraging relevant Iranian agencies to closely coordinate with Vietnam to effectively implement bilateral cooperation mechanisms and activities.
Affirming Vietnam’s important role and voice in multilateral mechanisms, especially at the United Nations, Ambassador Nazari thanked Vietnam for its fair and objective stance on developments in the Middle East.
Deputy PM and Minister Bui Thanh Son expressed sympathy with the hardships faced by the Iranian people and expressed confidence that, with their resilient spirit and determination, Iran will soon overcome current challenges and achieve recovery and development.
On this occasion, Deputy PM and Minister conveyed a letter of invitation from President Luong Cuong to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to attend the Signing Ceremony of the United Nations Convention on Countering the Use of Information and Communications Technologies for Criminal Purposes, scheduled for October 25-26 this year in Hanoi.
Ambassador Nazari expressed his sincere thanks and confirmed he would deliver the invitation to the President of Iran.
