Ambassador Nguyen Luong Ngoc presents Letter of Credence to Iranian President

This morning in Tehran capital, Ambassador Nguyen Luong Ngoc officially presented to President Masoud Pezeshkian the Letter of Credence that accredit him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

President Masoud Pezeshkian congratulated Ambassador Nguyen Luong Ngoc on his appointment and expressed confidence that the Ambassador, in his new capacity, would make significant contributions to further strengthening bilateral relations in line with the aspirations and interests of the peoples of both nations.

The President highlighted the historical, friendly, and close ties between Vietnam and Iran established over the years, affirming Iran’s desire to enhance cooperation with Vietnam across various fields, including politics, defense and security, economy, culture, and people-to-people exchange.

During the meeting, Ambassador Nguyen Luong Ngoc conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from President Luong Cuong to President Masoud Pezeshkian. He expressed his honor in taking up his post in Iran, a nation with a rich cultural heritage spanning over 8,000 years, a vibrant and distinctive culture, and a hospitable, intelligent population. The Ambassador also congratulated Iran on its remarkable achievements since the Islamic Revolution of 1979.

Underscoring the strategic importance of Vietnam and Iran in Southeast Asia and the Middle East respectively, and the shared aspirations for peace and development, Ambassador Nguyen Luong Ngoc emphasized the strong foundation for enhanced bilateral cooperation. He pledged to do his utmost to deepen the longstanding friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
