On October 24, Implementing Resolution 59 and Resolution 68 of the Politburo on International Integration in the New Situation and Private Economic Development,, the Vietnamese Embassy in Australia, in collaboration with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Sydney and the Consulate General of Vietnam in Perth, jointly organized the first online meeting among Australia-Vietnam business organizations, associations, councils across all states, and Vietnamese businesses, as well as overseas Vietnamese enterprises operating in the country.

The event attracted nearly 30 delegates, including Presidents, Vice Presidents, and Executive Committee members of 9 Australia-Vietnam business organizations, associations, councils, along with entrepreneurs from various states and cities, as well as representatives of many Vietnamese businesses investing and operating in Australia.

Former Australian Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Andrew Goledzinowski, who is currently an advisor to several organizations related to cooperation with Vietnam, also attended and spoke at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Pham Hung Tam emphasized the purpose of the meeting was to enhance connectivity and promote cooperation among organizations and business groups interested in Vietnam across Australia.

According to the Ambassador, this is a great opportunity for associations to get acquainted, build networks, explore cooperation potential, and open up possibilities for establishing an Alliance of Australia-Vietnam Business Associations across Australia.

Agreeing with Ambassador Pham Hung Tam, former Ambassador Andrew stated that he is currently working with many Vietnamese associations in Australia, such as the Professional and Intellectual Association, Women's Association, Business Association, and recognized the significant need for coordinated activities among these organizations and associations.

Simon White, Chairman of the Australia-Vietnam Business Council - Queensland branch (AVBCQ), also emphasized the need for connection and the formation of a unified organization that brings together various associations in Australia interested in doing business with Vietnam.

This idea also received support from Mr. Tran Ba Phuc, Chairman of the Vietnamese Business Association in Australia (VBAA), and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc My, Chairman of the Vietnam-Northern Territory Business Council (NTVBC).

During the meeting, delegates introduced their organizations and businesses, explored business cooperation opportunities, and discussed sharing information, data, establishing a contact group on WhatsApp, and fundamentally agreed to consider establishing a unified organization across Australia.

On this occasion, Ambassador Pham Hung Tam highly appreciated the support, assistance, and cooperation of business organizations and associations in the area for Vietnamese businesses and Vietnamese delegations visiting Australia.
