In Tuyen Quang province, the delegation met with provincial leaders and representatives of various departments. Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Manh Tuan stated that Tuyen Quang is a land rich in revolutionary history. After merging with Ha Giang, the province became a border locality in the northernmost part of the country, with over 277 km of border with China.
Currently, the province maintains relations with 11 localities and over 100 international partners. There are 25 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects from 24 FDI investors with a total registered capital of approximately 7,000 billion VND; simultaneously, 5 ODA programs and projects and 61 foreign non-governmental aid programs are being implemented with a total committed value of over 223 billion VND.

In recent years, Tuyen Quang's socio-economic growth has remained stable; the investment and business environment has gradually improved; transportation and industrial infrastructure continue to receive comprehensive investment. The province's foreign affairs are comprehensively implemented through expanding international cooperation, attracting foreign investment, and mobilizing development support resources.
Tuyen Quang focuses on development across five pillars
According to provincial leaders, Tuyen Quang will prioritize attracting investment in areas such as wood processing, agro-forestry products, supporting industries, renewable energy, and tourism. The province hopes that Vietnamese Representative Missions Abroad will assist in promoting its potential and connecting international businesses and investors to explore cooperation opportunities.

Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Trung Thu stated that the locality is focusing on development across five pillars: transportation and urban infrastructure; high-quality cultural tourism; specialty product agro-industrial processing chains; border economy, cross-border trade, and logistics; and innovative economy linked with digital transformation and human resource training.
The province also proposes that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs support expanding international cooperation at the local level, promote project portfolios, and connect with major corporations and enterprises in logistics, renewable energy, and tourism.

Phu Tho enhances international cooperation across various fields
On the same day, in Phu Tho, the delegation held a meeting with provincial leaders to discuss development directions and the expansion of international cooperation in the future.
According to Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong, Phu Tho province was recently formed by merging three localities: Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, and Hoa Binh. The province holds a strategic position, bordering many provinces and cities, serving as a gateway connecting trade between the Red River Delta and the Northwest region.
In 2025, the province's socio-economic performance achieved positive results with a growth rate of 10.52%, ranking among the top in the country; the economy's scale reached approximately 16 billion USD; export turnover exceeded 36.8 billion USD. The province also attracted many foreign investment projects with the presence of major corporations such as Toyota, Honda, Piaggio, and BYD.

Additionally, the socio-economic infrastructure system continues to receive investment, particularly in industrial zones, inter-regional transportation, and urban infrastructure. Phu Tho is currently planning several industrial zones with large land reserves, ready to receive large-scale and high-tech investment projects; it also maintains cooperative relations with over 20 foreign localities in South Korea, Japan, China, and Italy.
In the future, the province will focus on developing synchronized socio-economic infrastructure, promoting digital transformation, attracting environmentally friendly high-tech projects, enhancing human resource quality, and continuing administrative reform to create a favourable investment environment for businesses.

Phu Tho also proposes that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnamese Representative Missions Abroad support enhancing international cooperation across various fields such as attracting investment, accessing ODA and international aid, promoting trade, expanding export markets, developing high-tech industry and agriculture, renewable energy, as well as fostering cooperation in science and technology, digital transformation, education and training, and healthcare.
Additionally, the province aims to strengthen the promotion of its local image, develop tourism linked with unique cultural values such as the Hung Kings Temple historical site and Phu Tho Xoan singing heritage; it also explores the possibility of establishing representative offices in potential markets like Republic of Korea and Japan.

Speaking at the meetings, Deputy Foreign Minister Ngo Le Van appreciated the close coordination and open exchange spirit between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs delegation and local leaders.
The Deputy Minister affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with the network of Vietnamese Representative Missions Abroad, will continue to accompany and support localities in promoting their potential, connecting investors, and fostering international cooperation in economic, trade, investment, and tourism sectors.
The Deputy Minister also urged the Heads of Representative Missions, upon assuming their duties abroad, to actively introduce and promote the image and potential of localities; enhance connections with businesses, organizations, and international partners, thereby contributing to effectively mobilizing international resources for socio-economic development and advancing the country's integration process.
