Ministry of Foreign Affairs celebrates International Women's Day on March 8

WVR - On the afternoon of March 8, the Department of External Relations and Cultural Diplomacy under Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Committee for Women working in External Relations work, organized a meeting to celebrate International Women's Day on March 8, combined with an exploration of the cultural and film industries.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dang Hoang Giang, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Committee for the Advancement of Women at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended and delivered congratulatory remarks.

The event was also attended by Nguyen Xuan anh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Nguyen Hoai Nam, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Chief of the Party Committee Office, Chief of the Ministry Office; Nguyen Viet Anh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Head of the Organization Department, Director of the Personnel Department; Le Thi Hong Van, Member of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry, Director of the Department of External Relations and Cultural Diplomacy, Head of the Committee for Women working in External Relations Work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; along with nearly 400 female staff working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In his speech at the meeting, Deputy Minister Dang Hoang Giang, on behalf of Politburo Member and Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung, extended warm congratulations to all female officials, civil servants, and employees in the sector on the occasion of International Women's Day, along with heartfelt wishes for health, happiness, and success.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that throughout the development of Vietnam's diplomatic sector, generations of female diplomats have always played a crucial role. With intelligence, courage, dedication, and high responsibility, they have been making significant contributions across various fields of the Ministry's work.

Praising the efforts of the female staff, Deputy Minister Dang Hoang Giang acknowledged that they not only excel in their professional duties but also fulfill their roles in family and society. According to the Deputy Minister, the persistent and silent dedication of female staff has significantly contributed to the overall achievements of the diplomatic sector, while also promoting the image of modern, confident, resilient, compassionate, and responsible Vietnamese women.

On this occasion, the Deputy Minister wished all female staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continued health, happiness, and encouraged them to further develop their capabilities and contribute positively to the development of Vietnam's diplomatic sector in the future.

On behalf of the female staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy, Head of the External Women's Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Hong Van expressed gratitude to Le Hoai Trung, Politburo Member and Minister of Foreign Affairs, for sending a bouquet of fresh flowers as a congratulatory gesture, reflecting his care, respect, and encouragement for the female staff of the Ministry.

The Director stated that the exploration of the cultural and film industries within the program framework is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the Ministry's leadership's concern for the spiritual life of female staff, while also enhancing the bond among the women.

This activity also helps expand understanding of the role of cultural diplomacy linked to the development of the cultural and film industries, thereby creating additional motivation for female staff to continue contributing to the promotion of cultural diplomacy and the country's image, in line with the Politburo's Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW on the development of Vietnamese culture and the Cultural Diplomacy Strategy to 2030.

According to Director Le Thi Hong Van, the achievements and growth of the female staff at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are not only due to their efforts and responsibility in all positions, as well as the support and cooperation of colleagues and family, but also thanks to the attention and facilitation of the Minister and the Ministry's leadership.

Women's work is always considered an important aspect in building a comprehensive, professional, and modern diplomatic sector, thereby creating a favorable environment for female staff to maximize their capabilities and contribute positively to foreign affairs activities.

Continuing the tradition of the diplomatic sector, Director Le Thi Hong Van affirmed that the female staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to strive, uphold their sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, and creativity in their work, contributing effectively to fulfilling the country's development goals; while also excelling in their roles in family and society, spreading the beautiful image of Vietnamese women and diplomats in the new era.
