Hau Giang currently has 2 Industrial Parks with an area of about 492 hectares in the Chau Thanh and Chau Thanh A districts, with an occupancy rate of over 90%, planning and developing 10 industrial clusters with an area of about 745ha. There are 07 industrial clusters that have been in operation, attracting businesses to invest in 51 projects. The planning to expand industrial parks and industrial clusters creates space to continue inviting investors to participate in key industrial production activities, creating room for supporting industries to develop respectively.
From potential and effort to achievement
The year 2022 is defined as the recovery period after Hau Giang was heavily affected by COVID-19. The growth rate of GRDP in the first 9 months of this year reached 14.74%, ranked 5th in the country, the highest since the province was established.

Orientation to 2025
Defining sustainable socio-economic development with the orientation “One core, two routes, three cities, four pillars, five centers".
- One core is Developing Chau Thanh district into the center of industrial and urban development of the province in the medium and long term.
- Two routes: Focusing on exploiting and developing along 02 busy highways, namely Can Tho - Ca Mau route connecting with Ho Chi Minh City and Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang route connecting with Nam Song provinces. Queen.
