Deputy Minister Dang Hoang Giang expressed his pleasure at welcoming the Eisenhower Fellowships delegation back to Vietnam. He highly appreciated the practical contributions of the Eisenhower Fellowships and many U.S. organizations to the development of Vietnam - United States relations over the years.

The Deputy Minister affirmed that Vietnam is actively pursuing the goals set out at the 14th National Congress, aiming to become a developing country with modern industry and high middle income by 2030, and a developed, high-income country by 2045.

In terms of foreign policy, Vietnam consistently implements an independent, self-reliant, peaceful, friendly, cooperative, and developmental foreign policy, diversifying and multilateralizing its international relations.

Within this framework, Vietnam always regards the United States as a top strategic partner, seeking to further implement the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with the U.S. in a more substantive manner, deepening strategic cooperation in various fields.

The Deputy Minister expressed his delight at the positive development of bilateral relations in recent times, which has laid a solid foundation for enhancing bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially in economic-trade, science-technology, and education-training.

He suggested that the Eisenhower Fellowships strengthen and expand cooperation with Vietnam, creating more opportunities for Vietnamese individuals to participate in the Eisenhower Program. He also encouraged the continuation of forums, seminars, academic exchanges, and practical experience sharing in Vietnam, thereby enhancing the role of a bridge between Vietnam and the United States, promoting exchange, connection, and cooperation among leaders, entrepreneurs, scholars, experts, and the people of both countries.

Eisenhower Fellowships President George de Lama thanked Deputy Minister Dang Hoang Giang for taking the time to meet with the delegation and was pleased to report the successful organization of the "Asia Rising" conference in Vietnam.

The leadership of the Fellowships expressed interest in learning about policies and measures to attract foreign investment into Vietnam in recent times and Vietnam's development orientation in the future.

Impressed by the strong development of Vietnam - United States relations, the leadership affirmed that Vietnam remains a priority in the Fellowships' programs, and they wish to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam, thereby contributing to enhancing mutual understanding between the people of the two countries in the future.

The Eisenhower Fellowships is a non-profit organization established in 1953 to promote connections among leaders in various fields across countries for a more peaceful, prosperous, and just world.

The Fellowships currently have over 2,000 members in more than 115 countries. Since 2013, the Fellowships have initiated cooperative activities with Vietnam, with 21 individuals having received scholarships and participated in academic exchange programs in the United States.
