The Hanoi People’s Committee has recently issued a plan to install LED screens and a public loudspeaker system to serve the 80th anniversary celebration of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025) and the Independence Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025).
Accordingly, the city will install LED screens and loudspeakers to allow residents and visitors to view the commemoration ceremony, military parade, and mass procession.
The installation of these screens not only aims to create a festive and uplifting atmosphere for the public, but also helps reduce the pressure of crowding and traffic in the central area around Ba Dinh Square, where the official celebrations will take place.
Specifically, 14 LED screens will be installed at 11 locations along three parade routes; 7 more screens will be placed at six gateway points to the capital. Additionally, 136 LED screens will be set up in public areas determined by local authorities.
The People’s Committee has requested relevant agencies to complete the installation by August 27, and have it operated from August 28 through September 2. After the event, all installations must be dismantled and the original state of the sites restored by September 4, 2025.
