To spread the patriotic spirit on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025) and National Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025), the Department of Broadcasting, Television and Electronic Information (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) has directed social media platforms and gaming companies in Vietnam to launch the media campaign "Be proud of Vietnam – Reddening the Cyberspace" (Tu hao Viet Nam) with many meaningful activities, contributing to igniting national pride online.

Specifically, on the Zalo platform, two main activities will be implemented: Updating personal page interfaces with vibrant holiday colours and launching AI avatars featuring the national flag and images evoking the spirit of independence and freedom.

Additionally, the campaign expands across platforms within the ecosystem, including Zing MP3: launching playlists themed Homeland – People – Revolution, featuring special National Day 2/9 symbols on the homepage, creating a strong ripple effect; Zalo Video: promoting the National Day livestream event, while suggesting a series of 2/9 themed videos such as interviews, art programs, and local commemorative activities.

The campaign is expected to reach 30-40 million accounts on Zalo and across applications within the Zalo ecosystem.

Simultaneously, the Department of Broadcasting, Television and Electronic Information has mobilized around 30 leading Vietnamese game production companies to participate on a large scale by re-releasing 150 to 200 globally released games, notably including games like: Screwdom, Bus Out, Cookingdom, Dreamy Room, Goods Puzzle: Sort Challenge, Galaxiga: Space Arcade Shooter, Survivor Kingdoms...

These games will uniformly feature the image of the Vietnamese flag on application icons, maps, items, and in-game events. It is projected that approximately 100 million players in Vietnam and worldwide will engage with this campaign.

Mr. Lê Quang Tự Do, Director of the Department of Broadcasting, Television and Electronic Information, shared: "This is the first time Zalo and Vietnamese gaming companies have united to implement a large-scale, cohesive activity to celebrate National Day 2/9, not only in Vietnam but also spreading the national flag globally.

This campaign will offer an exciting experience for users and gamers, while creatively and closely promoting Vietnam's image to international friends. It is a vivid testament to unity and collaboration among technology platforms, entertainment companies, and users, aiming to build a healthy, humanistic cyberspace."

The "Be proud of Vietnam – Reddening the Cyberspace" campaign affirms the power of the digital space in evoking patriotism, honouring historical-cultural values, spreading gratitude and national pride, while strengthening community bonds, especially among the youth – the core force of Vietnam's digital era.

Additionally, on this occasion, at the request of the Department of Broadcasting, Television and Electronic Information, Google Play has also responded and launched the National Day 2/9 celebration with the "Made in Vietnam" Collection.

Accordingly, the "Made in Vietnam" Collection is prioritised on the Google Play Games homepage, featuring classic games that evoke traditional Vietnamese culture, produced and published by major Vietnamese companies.

The collection aims to honour Vietnam's exceptional talents in game development and help them reach diverse players in Vietnam and worldwide. This initiative demonstrates government support and affirms Google's commitment to empowering creators, positioning Vietnam as a leading nation in the global digital economy.
