Chefs to offer Vietnamese specialties at Hung Kings Temple Festival

With more than 70 booths, the festival will introduce visitors to specialties of all three regions of Vietnam.
Notably, President of the Japan-Vietnam Gastronomy Association (JVGA) Matsuo Tomoyuki and artisan Le Thi Thiet, President of Nam Dinh Culinary Culture Association, will jointly cook dishes from lang fish (Hemibagrus).
Within the framework of the festival, there will be art performances featuring Vietnam’s traditional genres of singing such as Xoan singing, Ca Tru (ceremonial singing), Quan ho Bac Ninh (love duet), and Don ca tai tu (southern amateur music).
Visitors will also have a chance to participate in a trade fair introducing tourism and OCOP (one commune one product) items of eight northwestern provinces and Phu Tho.
The commemoration of the Hung Kings comes on the 10th day of the third lunar month, which falls on April 29 this year and is a national holiday. The practice of worshiping them in Phu Tho province was recognised by UNESCO as part of the world's intangible cultural heritage in 2012.
