The Consul General assessed that Yuxi possesses a pristine ecosystem, distinctive industries, and mountain resources. Its economic structure and development orientation share many similarities with Vietnam's border provinces and mountainous regions, creating clear complementary advantages and promising cooperation prospects.

The Consul General expressed a desire for both sides to work together to promote cooperation in areas such as two-way tourism, distinctive agriculture and agricultural product processing, traditional medicine and oriental medicine, green development and new rural construction, cultural exchange and human resource training, and connecting small and medium enterprises.

This would create sustainable, mutually beneficial cooperation results, enriching the dynamic examples of local cooperation between Vietnam and China.

Yuxi District Chairman Xia Xiushan expressed hope that through the seminar, both sides will focus on areas to turn consensus into specific cooperation projects, yielding practical results. (Source: Consulate General of Vietnam in Chongqing)

Yuxi District Chairman Xia Xiushan, on behalf of the Yuxi Party Committee and Government, welcomed the delegation led by Consul General Bui Nguyen Long and expressed gratitude to the Consulate General of Vietnam in Chongqing for their interest and support in Yuxi's development and opening efforts.

Chairman Xia Xiushan pointed out that the development phase of Yuxi and Vietnam's border mountainous provinces have many similarities, with compatible resources and complementary distinctive industries. Benefiting from dual advantages of national and city-level preferential policies, Yuxi's distinctive industries are forming a concentration, with logistics and transportation channels continuously improving, laying a solid foundation for comprehensive cooperation.

According to Mr. Xia Xiushan, in recent times, both sides have actively promoted cultural exchanges, sports events, and increasingly close product trade, building a practical bridge for deep cooperation.

The Yuxi District Chairman also expressed hope that this seminar will become a new starting point, focusing on areas such as tourism-cultural connections, agricultural trade, traditional medicine cooperation, sharing experiences in new rural construction, cultural and talent exchange, and connecting businesses and markets. This would turn cooperation consensus into specific projects and practical results.

Yuxi will offer the greatest goodwill, most favorable policies, best services, and most practical measures to ensure that the cooperation content between the two sides soon becomes substantive and fruitful, Mr. Xia Xiushan emphasized.
