| The 11th Econometrics and Applications Olympic Competition, 2026 aims to accompany the research and innovation of Vietnamese students. |
The 11th National Student Science Competition "Econometrics and Applications Olympic", 2026 is organized in the context where science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation are becoming crucial drivers of economic growth. Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW sets the requirement for developing a workforce capable of data-driven research and the ability to apply technology in practice.
Over 11 seasons, the competition has become an academic playground for students to access mathematical models, econometrics, big data, artificial intelligence, and modern analytical methods in scientific research.
Additionally, the competition serves as a forum for academic debate, scientific critique, and standardization of research methods, helping students identify quantitative research methodologies early on while still in school.
The judging panel comprises scientists and lecturers from various fields such as economics, finance, public policy, statistics, data science, technology, and mathematics. Notably, the competition is supported by experts from the Institute of Mathematics, the Institute of Information Technology under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, and the Statistics Department under the Ministry of Finance. The diverse expertise ensures that the evaluation of topics is conducted from multiple perspectives, while also enhancing the connection between academic research and practical application requirements.
The 11th National Student Science Competition "Econometrics and Applications Olympic", 2026 attracts 422 topics from 30 universities and academies nationwide; among them, 12 outstanding topics have been selected to participate in the final round, which will take place directly over two days, June 13 and 14, 2026, at the Academy of Finance, Hanoi.
