From the Vietnamese aspiration to the Aviation Economic Hub 2.0 vision
Vietnam is entering a new era of development, with aspirations for breakthrough growth, enhanced competitiveness, and a stronger position in the global economy. The expansion of trade, investment, tourism, and new economic sectors is creating an increasing demand for infrastructure and international connectivity capabilities.
Approved by the National Assembly of Vietnam in December 2025, GBIA is developed with the vision of creating new growth momentum, promoting sustainable prosperity, and enabling individuals, businesses, and Vietnam to reach the world. Beyond its role as an airport, GBIA aims to pioneer the development of the next-generation Aviation Economic Hub 2.0, using aviation as a foundation to connect trade, logistics, services, and high-value-added economic sectors, contributing to the formation and development of the new-generation aviation economy in Vietnam and the region.

Creating an international brand with a Vietnamese identity
If infrastructure creates connectivity, then brand and experience shape an airport's identity and position on the world map. The GBIA brand story is inspired by the philosophy of Heaven – Earth – Human, reflecting the harmony between the sky, the ground, and people. Vietnamese cultural values are expressed through architecture, design, service, and experience, creating a modern aviation space that meets international standards while embodying Vietnam's hospitality and unique spirit.
“We believe that cultural identity is a distinct advantage for a Vietnamese brand to assert its position globally. GBIA's aspiration is not only to build an airport that meets international standards but also to create an aviation brand with a Vietnamese imprint reaching the world, recognised and remembered through unique experiences,” Thai Minh Diem Tu shared.
Redefining experience standards and new aviation destinations
Aiming for Skytrax's 5-star airport service standards, GBIA places passengers at the centre from the design phase onward. Technology, digitisation, and artificial intelligence are integrated throughout, creating intelligent, convenient, seamless, and personalised journeys.
Not only does GBIA optimise operational efficiency, but it also aims to redefine the airport experience at every touchpoint. Architectural space, shopping, dining, entertainment, and cultural experiences are developed in a coordinated direction, transforming the airport from a transit point into a new destination on the international aviation map, where passengers can explore unique experiences with a Vietnamese imprint.
The brand spirit “Elevating Every Journey” thus represents not only a commitment to service quality but also an aspiration to create experiences with Vietnamese identity that meet world-class standards.

Global connectivity gateway – new business opportunity ecosystem
With a strategic position serving the Hanoi Capital Region and Northern Vietnam, GBIA aims to become the gateway connecting one of the region's dynamic growth markets with the global aviation network.
GBIA's potential stems not only from passenger and cargo transport demand but also from the vision of developing Aerotropolis 2.0 – an integrated airport city ecosystem in which aviation drives commerce, logistics, retail, tourism, services, and international investment.
With the advantage of a promising market and a new-generation aviation economic development model, GBIA aims to become a convergence point for airlines, international brands, businesses, and global investors. Not only does GBIA open new routes and markets, but it also lays the foundation for collaborative opportunities to be unlocked, new business models to be formed, and economic value to be synergised, thereby helping Vietnam participate more deeply in the global trade and connectivity network.
“We want GBIA not only to be an airport that passengers pass through but also to become a chosen destination, a connecting platform where airlines, international brands, and businesses find development opportunities. When every journey is elevated, new connections will open up, driving growth for businesses, communities, and the country,” Thai Minh Diem Tu affirmed.
