Ambassador Kanat Tumysh said the Forum’s theme was particularly relevant as technology is gradually reshaping industries, management practices, finance and production.

However, technology alone cannot generate prosperity without people equipped with knowledge, sound judgement, creativity and the determination to set goals.

Drawing on Kazakhstan’s experience, the Ambassador said investment in people should be regarded as a strategic priority, with education, research and the practical needs of the economy closely connected.

Kazakhstan places a strong emphasis on equipping young people with digital skills and specialised technical knowledge, while creating conditions for talented individuals to realise their potential and contribute to national development.

Ambassador Kanat Tumysh stressed that high-quality human resources should not be developed solely within educational institutions.

Accordingly, close cooperation among universities, the business community and government agencies, together with a commitment to lifelong learning, is an important factor in developing a workforce capable of meeting the demands of today’s economy.

Turning to a specific area of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Vietnam, the Ambassador said Kazakhstan had established a Qazaq AI Research University in the capital, Astana, and expressed his hope that young Vietnamese students and researchers would come to Kazakhstan to study and conduct research.

The Kazakh diplomat also recalled the long-standing educational ties between the two countries, noting that many Vietnamese officials, experts and distinguished representatives had studied in Kazakhstan during the difficult years of Vietnam’s development and in subsequent periods.

Building on this longstanding friendship, Ambassador Kanat Tumysh said cooperation in education, training and innovation could become a promising area of Vietnam-Kazakhstan relations.

The two sides could strengthen links among educational institutions, businesses, experts, scientists, academics and young intellectuals, thereby expanding professional exchange and technical training programmes and jointly developing innovative solutions based on digital technologies.

Ambassador Kanat Tumysh stressed that human resource development should address both present needs and the capacity of younger generations to seize future opportunities.

Commending the efforts of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Government and the Hanoi People’s Committee to promote the development of high-quality human resources, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Vietnam expressed his hope that the third Capital Economic Forum would generate practical ideas and open up new partnerships.

According to the Ambassador, the outcomes of the Forum should be followed up with concrete initiatives so that the discussions at the event can translate into practical benefits and make a positive contribution to the lives of the people of both countries.
