During the meeting, both parties discussed the current state of Vietnam-Australia relations and measures to enhance cooperation between Vietnam and Western Australia in the coming period.
Consul General Pham Hai Anh emphasized the vast potential for cooperation between Vietnam and Western Australia in various fields, particularly in education and training, science and technology, trade and investment, energy, strategic minerals, high-tech agriculture, and tourism. He also expressed a desire to promote delegation exchanges at all levels and strengthen connections between localities, businesses, and people of both sides.

Ms. Pamela Currie highly appreciated Vietnam's dynamic development, affirming that Western Australia considers Vietnam an important partner in Southeast Asia and wishes to continue expanding cooperation in the state's areas of strength.
She stated that she would support connecting the Consulate General with relevant agencies, businesses, and associations in Western Australia, especially in the state's strengths such as mining, energy, economy, trade, investment, and agriculture, to promote specific cooperation opportunities.
Both sides agreed to maintain regular exchanges, enhance coordination in foreign affairs activities, support high-level delegations, businesses, and organizations from both sides, contributing to deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Australia in general and cooperation between Vietnam and Western Australia in particular.
On this occasion, Consul General Pham Hai Anh presented the Consular Commission to Ms. Pamela Currie and expressed gratitude for the support of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Office in Western Australia for the activities of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Perth.
