WVR - From August 20-24, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Kunming, in collaboration with the Department of Commerce of Yunnan Province, organized a delegation of Vietnamese businesses to participate in the series of events "Mekong - Lancang Fruit, Coffee, Beer, and Fresh Flower Festival 2026", while also launching Vietnam Goods Week in Kunming City, Yunnan Province (China).

The Vietnamese business delegation, including the Bac Ninh Department of Industry and Trade, participated with 10 booths showcasing a variety of local products such as fresh fruits, coffee, and processed agricultural products. The Vietnamese booths made a strong impression on Yunnan consumers due to their high-quality products, diverse designs, and competitive prices.

The Consul General stated that this festival is not only an occasion to showcase the unique products of countries and localities in the Mekong - Lancang sub-region but also an opportunity to strengthen business connections, expand trade, and explore new areas of cooperation among countries.

The Consul General emphasized that Vietnam and Yunnan Province have many favorable conditions to promote economic and trade cooperation, especially in agriculture and agricultural trade. On this occasion, the Consul General introduced Vietnam's strengths in agricultural development, its capacity and potential to participate in supply chains, and agricultural production chains in the region and internationally. He proposed several cooperation directions to boost agricultural trade between Vietnam and Yunnan, as well as other countries in the Mekong sub-region. Accordingly, Vietnamese localities and Yunnan Province can jointly promote not only agricultural trade and fresh fruit trade but also expand cooperation in processing, preservation, logistics, cold storage, e-commerce, brand building, and cross-border agricultural supply chain development.
