Investing in and upgrading unique tourism products
Ca Mau, the southernmost land of the country, where abundant nature and distinctive indigenous culture converge, is gradually affirming its position as an attractive and impressive destination on the national tourism map.
Notably, the newly merged Ca Mau Province from Bac Lieu and former Ca Mau opens up new development space, with potentials and advantages increasingly being utilized and doubled in effectiveness.
Specifically, Ca Mau and former Bac Lieu share many similarities. Both possess the Mekong Delta ecosystem with mangrove forests, long coastlines, Southern cultural identity, and the cultural blend of the Kinh, Hoa, and Khmer ethnic groups, creating a rich cultural heritage.
This provides favorable conditions for the new Ca Mau to develop tourism and culture. While Bac Lieu is renowned for the song “Da co hoai lang”, the art of Don ca tai tu, and the image of the generous Bac Lieu Dandy, Ca Mau is a sacred land at the southernmost point with many landmarks associated with national heroes.
From these similarities and differences, the merger will create an advantage to make the southernmost region an attractive destination, especially with eco-tourism, community, and cultural products, offering unique experiences for both domestic and international tourists.
