Specifically, in recent years, as the term “overtourism” becomes familiar and protests against tourists erupt from Europe to America, the world begins to reassess the journey of travelers – not just where they visit, but how they are welcomed.

In this context, Vietnam emerges as a vibrant beacon.

According to The Telegraph's ranking of “The Most Beautiful Countries Still Warmly Welcoming Tourists in 2026”, Vietnam ranks third – not due to flashy campaigns, but through its natural allure and spirit of hospitality.

Last year, Vietnam welcomed nearly 22 million international visitors and aims to increase this number to 25 million this year.

What sets Vietnam apart is not just “what it has”, but “how it welcomes”. From the surreal beauty of Ha Long Bay to the bustling life in Ho Chi Minh City, the travel experience extends beyond landscapes or cuisine, spreading a sense of closeness and sincerity – something many renowned destinations are gradually losing amidst the crowds.

Additionally, British media expressed enthusiastic amazement when introducing the Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Area.

In an Asia familiar with Western-themed amusement parks, Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Area takes a unique path: telling Vietnam's story through its own cultural language. There are no fairy-tale castles or superheroes, but layers of folklore, Buddhist symbols, and distinctly Asian imagination.

The statue of Avalokiteshvara with a Thousand Hands and Eyes rises amidst the space, vibrant temples... all blend into a whole that is unfamiliar to international tourists but familiar to Vietnamese people. It is not merely a park, but a way of storytelling. Vietnamese culture does not remain static in museums but is vibrant in everyday life.

While many destinations worldwide are forced to erect “soft limits” to protect themselves, Vietnam is on a different beat: welcoming guests while maintaining warmth.

Perhaps, in the not-too-distant future, Vietnam will also face the challenges other destinations are experiencing. But at this moment, Vietnam – as noted by British media – showcases a precious uniqueness: opening its doors wide while keeping the warmth inside.

And sometimes, for travelers, what remains after a journey is not just photographs, but the feeling of being genuinely welcomed.
