This is the first time the locality has organized a festival dedicated to don, a dish rich in local heritage, closely tied to the lives of generations of residents along the Tra River.

The festival aims to promote the value of An Phu don, introduce products from the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program, and showcase unique products to facilitate trade connections between businesses, cooperatives, production facilities, and consumers. It also seeks to preserve and promote traditional cultural values, particularly the art of bai choi singing and the unique cultural values of the area.

The festival, featuring OCOP product displays and local cuisine, includes 42 booths, with 5 dedicated to don, allowing locals and tourists to experience don preparation and enjoy the dish along with other traditional foods.

The event also showcases OCOP products and unique items from An Phu Commune; features bai choi singing performances; and hosts contests such as the Don Ambassador "Most Don Eaten" and Best Content Creator, themed "An Phu Don–The Taste of Home". Additionally, there are recycled fashion shows under the theme "Recycled Colors–Together Protecting the Environment".

Vo Thi Thu Van, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of An Phu Commune, stated that don is not just a rustic dish but also embodies cultural values, reflecting the lifestyle, labor habits, and creativity of the local people. It holds significant potential to develop into a distinctive culinary brand, contributing to the promotion of the homeland's image and boosting tourism development.

OCOP has been a crucial driver for the locality to enhance product quality, build brands, and expand market reach.

To date, An Phu Commune has had 12 OCOP products recognized with a 3-star rating and has submitted 8 more products for provincial evaluation and ranking. Through the festival, the commune aims to establish a unique cultural-tourism product for An Phu, gradually forming an attractive destination for tourists; thereby creating additional momentum for tourism, trade, and service development, contributing to increased income and improved living standards for the people.

The locality believes this activity will offer tourists and residents an engaging experience, helping to spread the image of An Phu as a friendly, hospitable land rich in cultural identity.

The An Phu Don Festival, featuring OCOP product displays and local cuisine, will take place from July 24 to 26, allowing locals and tourists to visit and enjoy.
