The festival was not merely a book exhibition but also an opportunity for community members to meet, exchange, and share their favorite books and reading experiences. The organizers stated that the main goal of the event was to spread the reading culture, ignite a love for Vietnamese books within the community, and contribute to preserving the Vietnamese language, nurturing knowledge, and fostering Vietnamese cultural identity among the young Vietnamese generation abroad.

At the event, attendees had access to hundreds of diverse books covering various fields such as literature, history, children's books, life skills, science, and technology.

The book displays were arranged scientifically, making it convenient for visitors to explore, choose books, and participate in experiential activities. Besides reading, children could engage in interactive games, storytelling, and drawing based on book themes, helping them learn while playing, develop creative skills, and form a reading habit from a young age.

Interactive sessions and book discussions with the participation of students, young people, and book lovers in the community created a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere. Many young participants shared that this was a valuable opportunity for them to learn more about Vietnamese culture, gain reading experience, and develop soft skills. The Vietnamese youth and students in Osaka and the Kansai area played a key role in organizing, coordinating activities, guiding children, and spreading the spirit of learning within the community.

Speaking at the festival, Ms. Le Thuong, Head of the Vietnamese Community Book Station, stated: “The Book Station was established with the desire to become a shared cultural and intellectual space, connecting the community, encouraging reading habits, and creating a sustainable Vietnamese learning environment for Vietnamese people in Japan.

The Book Reading Festival is a practical activity, demonstrating the pioneering role of youth and students in preserving and spreading Vietnamese culture far from the homeland. We hope this event will inspire every Vietnamese in Japan to love books, cherish the Vietnamese language, and take pride in their national identity.”

The festival took place in a warm, united atmosphere, leaving many positive impressions and affirming the role of reading culture and the youth's vitality in building a cohesive and thriving Vietnamese community in Japan. The event also opened up many opportunities for cooperation between the Book Station and cultural organizations, schools, and Vietnamese clubs in Japan, aiming to maintain and develop a sustainable reading culture within the community.
