According to Mr. Tran Van Dang, the Union of Vietnamese Associations in the Czech Republic currently has nearly 100 member organizations nationwide, with tens of thousands of members.

In recent times, the Union has always played an important role as a bridge between the Vietnamese community and local authorities, supporting and accompanying the community in living, studying, working, and integrating. The preservation and promotion of national cultural identity, especially the preservation and teaching of the Vietnamese language to the second and third generations, have always been a focus of the Union.

Moreover, the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic actively participates in many charitable activities, not only directed towards their homeland but also making practical contributions to the local society, such as supporting localities and hospitals during the Covid-19 pandemic and in times of natural disasters and floods.

Joining the celebration, Mr. Jan Vrba, Mayor of Cheb, expressed his delight at the increasingly deep integration of the Vietnamese community into the social life of the host country.

According to Mr. Vrba, this is clearly demonstrated by the academic achievements of Vietnamese students, contributions in sports, as well as the diligence and efforts of the community in developing the local economy, culture, and society. On the occasion of the New Year, Mayor Jan Vrba wished the Vietnamese community health, happiness, and success in life.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Do Cong Thang, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in the locality, emphasized that the "Welcome Spring 2026" Gala is not only a cultural activity to welcome the New Year but also a reunion filled with compatriot affection, demonstrating the strong bond of the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic.

Within the program, delegates and expatriates enjoyed many special art performances, meticulously staged, with performances by cultural talents from the community and some artists from Vietnam and Europe.
